I just brought home some beautiful Pork shoulder steaks for dinner. They are perfectly marbled and they are about an inch thick. About 7 ounces each.

Any suggestions on how to cook them? Comments?

My wife's suggestion was to pound them out and bread them for schnitzels. We do that at least twice a month so I'm looking for something different.

I would bake them slowly with a mushroomy garlicy sweet and sour sauce. Baked sweet potato with sour cream and butter and baked buttercup squash.
That sounds pretty good. Can we use butternut squash in place of buttercup?...;-)

I don't know. We had barbecued beef steak last night and it was very nice.

You're both right. These pork steaks do barbecue very nicely. I picked up ten of these pork steaks so no doubt some are going to end up on the barbecue.

I think we'll try darkbeavers idea with the S & S sauce.
