Anyways.....the girls partied...let's take their medal away and lock them up, how dare they celebrate a gold medal....what were they thinking.
Right On Man! Exactly!!! What would their reaction be to the Snowboarder's
celebration? 8O
Only a few saw them? Surely you jest? By now it is in the news all over the country, most fo the country is aware of it by now.
But really, was it so difficult to go to somebody's house or somebody's hotel room and smoke and booze up to ones' heart's content? Why didn't the coach or somebody else rent a room for them to celebrate?
who ever said take the medals away should apologize themselves for being such a stuck up.
I guess you haven't watched Stanley Cup playoffw where the winner drank champagne from the cup center ice...they had their dressing room to go into, and they failed
to do that, their mistake.
I've been to so many hockey tournaments over the years I've
lots count long ago.
Women's and Men's hockey, and have never had any celebrations on the ice, or on players benches, always in
the dressing room, with the door closed.
I'm referring to after game celebrations, when the refreshments come out.
Of course you are correct, Ron... Much ado about nothing.I'm say'n the whole thing is overblown & ridiculous. I'm not even sure how this
is even a news story beyond a "Good on ya' all!!!" for the Canadian Woman's
Hockey Team.
It would take a man of DurkaDurka's caliber to even describe the celebration
by the Snowboarders...and we're not hearing anything about that, so...it's a
total non-issue.
I am so proud of the Women's Hockey team's achievement however their post-game booz-up on the ice has left a very dark mark on an otherwise flawless performance.
There is no disputing that they earned the gold. I am just so dishearted about how they took their gold medals and such a prestigious hard-earned win "the Canadian way" then dragged it through the mud to the corner bar! Whatever where they thinking?!?!? Where was the coach/assistant coaches/ANYBODY!!!!!!
Mark my words, this will NOT just go away. This is a stigma that many of the ensuing teams (especially the upcoming mean's team) will bear the brunt of, for years!
.....soooo sooo sad.
As a side bar - as if this isn't bad enough - one of the girls is under-age. .....wonderful!
sometimes it happens, we call those people confused
wow , do you usually blow hot air when you have nothing to say?The only people who are confused are homosexuals who have been forced to act as heterosexuals by the society. Heterosexuals are never confused, they know perfectly well who they are.
Somehow, I don't think you will see teenaged girls walking around smoking cigars...
homosexuality was against the law but people stilll did it because they were happy.
Yay Canada , booo Prudes !Remember.....Woman's Hockey.....Gold Metal...Celebration....That's the Topic.
They don't smoke, Joey. They passed around a ceremonial cigar and had a puff. No lessen on the evils of smoking needed. Again, this is much ado about nothing.
Sorry I can't agree with that line of reasoning. The next step would be that we all have to take responsibility for the image we may convey to some air head. Nah that won't fly.
Will you puh....lease check your facts before you start typing. The arena was CLOSED to the public. Get it?
This was an achievement of monumental proportions for our ladies - they just won their 3rd Olympic Championship. Party on ladies and I will raise on in your honor.
WAY TO GO CANADIAN WOMEN'S HOCKEY TEAM. YOU ARE GOLD!

Thats the point. It was a private party. The media just blows everything out of proportion. Its too bad there is always someone who is going to say something negative about one achievement or another.
