I get what you're getting at, you can't reason with people like juan Ron.

People like that have no need of fact. They wallow in their crappulent and bigoted notions of what (insert race here) are like and that is final. No amount of fact, will change their minds. They haven't got one. You can't reason with them, they haven't the capacity to reason. You can come to some negotiated settlement, their ability to comprehend reality is to limited.

You and your anger are over the wall bear.. I'm finished with you.

lol... what can I say Ron. I'm a mom, and thus, I have two basic rules...

1. No crying over spilled milk.
2. Clean up the fricking milk before it gets under the fridge and causes an ungodly stink.

Indians seem to have a problem with number 1, and seem to have a BIG problem with entitlement.

Too late for number 2, the milk is all ready under the fridge and the stink is overwhelming.

I agree.

Again, I agree.

Nope, that the sale was illegal, or your family still possesses legal mineral rights.
The sale could not have been illegal. My Uncle was the exexutor so he had the right to sell. I don't know why or how we got to maintain the mineral rights but apparently we do. Since it's the little town I was born and raised in, I doubt it would be too difficult to find out if I had the need to. I know that my brother lives in a town nearby and he checks on it now and then to make sure no one is mining on it.

I would suggest that someone checks on your mineral rights on that land.

Yes, I had thought that to maintain mineral rights(claim) you had to work the area.....I believe they have now brought in something new...instead of having to do 500 dollars per year of work on the claim, you can pay 500 cash instead.

I will suggest that to the family. However, I think they would have to contact someone in the family. My Mom was the eldest child so it seems to me they should probably contact my personal family.
gerry has lived in BC so maybe he knows more about it than I do. Thanks for the info and I will check on it. Difficult to do from a campsite . I can go on line here but I cannot email.
We have a rather large native family here.(I'm sure there is more than one, but one I am familiar with). They all shop at the store I work at and more often than not, they come to my till. They don't know that I have native roots but they seem to prefer my till. I was talking to one of the family the other day and she said that the whole family shops only at the store I work at. I didn't ask why but maybe the answer is clear.
