We do take frequent vacations. I have uploaded some of our vacation photos into my photo album. I have posted photos from Galapagos Islands, Yellowstone and Australia.

To access the album, click on my avatar, then on ‘Albums’. Feel free to leave a comment.

I followed your instructions. I do not see anywhere to click on "Albums".

When I click on my avatar, next to my photograph, I find several menu items:

  • The Wall Albums Friends About Me Statistics

So I assume you would click on ‘Albums’. However, when I click on your avatar, I do not see ‘Albums’, I only see The Wall, Friends, About Me and Statistics.

So I am not sure how you would access my album. When I set it up, I did specify that it was for everyone to see.

VanIsle, the procedure I have outlined should work. I did not see any Albums option next to your avatar, probably because you don’t have any album. However, I clicked on another poster, and the ‘Albums’ option was visible.

So if you click on my avatar, you should see ‘Albums’ as one of the options next to my photo.

Well, I think the one with the two turtles mating is pretty kinky. They seem to have things a little backwards! lol

VanIsle, we were extremely lucky to see the turtles mating. The male was around 500 lb, female around 300 lb (or so we were told by the guide). As we were going around the island, looking at turtles, we saw this big male follow the female (at a very slow pace of course, but he was moving faster than her).

The guide told us that they probably were going to mate. Then he caught up with her and the ritual started. Mating typically takes about one hour, we watched it for half an hour (we left some for the next badge of tourists coming after us).

The guide said we were extremely lucky to watch the turtles mate, they very rarely do that in front of all the tourists.

Nice pictures, SJP. I like the blue footed boobies.

I'm curious about Yellowstone. Did you experience any tremors there? :)roll: Not you personally, earthquake type) Were there any areas closed off because they are dangerous now?

You're so fortunate to be able to travel like that.

When we went to Yellowstone, it was pretty quite, we didn’t notice any tremors. However, we did meet an old timer there who told us that they did have some earthquake activity there in the past (he said about 30 years ago); I was surprised at that, I didn’t know the area was active. Though I suppose that should have been obvious. When there are plenty of hot water pools, hot water springs (which comes from deep underground), one should expect seismic activity.

He also told us that scientists expect a huge big earthquake there (they don’t know when, it may not be for millions of years) which will force the whole Yellowstone area underground.

A good point about Galapagos Island (besides being the birthplace of Theory of Evolution) is that they are uninhabited, nobody lives there. So the wildlife is not used to human beings, they have not learned to be afraid of humans. So you can go stand right next to the wildlife and observe it,

The same with birds. We stood right next to the blue footed boobies and took the picture. They pretty much ignored us, rather than fly away.

If you enjoy wildlife, Galapagos is the ultimate vacation.
