Ok Dexter ,Where does the thought come from ?I might be wrong ;
but I think it comes from memory ...........Memory is past .Thought which is response of memory obviously is past .Without memory there would not be thought and without thought no memory .
I think I'll eat something. I didn't remember I was hungry, I felt it. When I am done, it's because I feel full. An hour later I won't eat again because I remember I already ate.
Perhaps you're "living in the past" but not me.

L G Envisioning the future isn't the same as experiencing the present but I get your point. Part of the exsperience is in the past and part the present and part future. It is like listening to a song. part of the lyrics have past, some are heard in the present and the past and present are the basis of the future. The entire song experience doesn't end until the song ends. it can onlty be experienced fully in the three tenses.

The thought is never in the NOW. That's the illusion ,investigate. If you look at a sunrise, there's no thought, only experiencing the now. As soon as you start thinking about it (it is so beautiful, etc.), you are out of the NOW.
So as soon as you thunk it as being beautiful, it isn't beautiful anymore? lmao
So thinking is always in the past.Because of that, there can be no new thoughts. A solution to a problem or discovery ,invention ,is never solved by thought, only by intuition.
*paroxysms of laughter ensue* I really wonder, sometimes, if something isn't interrupting your thought processes. Something like an imbalance in the electrochemicals that (I presume) wander around in between your ears. lmao
How could the thinker be different from the thought? The thinker is invented by thought, so he doesn't exist.
So, thoughts don't exist and it follows that people don't either because we are thought? . Funny, you come to CC and type in a lot of non-existent stuff. lmao
If you think there's a seperate thinker, you are fooling yourself. Hence the thinker is the thought.
If you think you are rational, you are fooling yourself. If I were you, I'd head straight for a large group of shrinks to see if any of them could figure out what's wrong with me.

All thoughts are in the past, even one second after they happen. The present
is only a nano second of time, while it's happening, unless one is generalizing as
'in present day'. The past is 'everything' that just happened, or happened long ago.

But there's that little instant when thought isn't past and that is when it occurs. Otherwise there would only be past and there would be no future or present.
As I said, I don't remember I am hungry. But this is moot because we don't exist, remember?

That's what I thought you'd say, and I'd agree that one wasn't a new thought. "There can be no new thoughts" is patently absurd. If it were true, we'd all still be huddling around the campfire at the cave mouth shivering at the sounds of the saber-toothed tigers lurking beyond the light. In fact we probably wouldn't even have the fire, or be in the shelter of the cave. What is an intuition if it's not a thought that comes up in your mind? Solutions are never found by thought? How can you possibly make such a preposterous claim? Evidently you've never solved a problem by analyzing it carefully.

New only comes through destruction or altering of the known. Merely a reconfiguration of what has always been.

That's the nano second I described, and hunger isn't a thought, it's an intinct,
it will be there, whether you think about it or not, no decision to make.
What we do with the thought, is what makes the past a certain way, but it is
still the past.

My point was that my hunger spurred the idea that I should eat. It wasn't memory. It was an idea, a thought. It had an origin, action, and then became history. If your brain didn't process the feeling of hunger you would have to remember to eat now and then. Fortunately there aren't that many people that have to remember to eat because they have no feeling of hunger.Believe it or not, we think even when we aren't conscious of thinking.

Instinct defined: "inborn pattern of behavior often responsive to specific stimuli" -Princeton U.
"An inborn pattern of behavior that is characteristic of a species and is often a response to specific environmental stimuli"
Hunger is not a pattern of behavior, acting on that hunger would be.

You either can't read correctly or your brain is too old to grasp new things and in your frustration you revert to insults.
I,ll say it again ;You are experiencing things in the present ,now .When you think about that very experience ,obviously you are thinking abut the past .

Don't forget that you have to eat when you are hungry and most of all don't forget to breath .
Man you're nuts.
