Decreased Power Consumption?

Is there any information or estimates on the decrease in power consumption due to the recession? With all the plant closures and layoffs I am wodering if you feel there may be a diffence. The plant closures may be offset by the power used at home by someone who would usually be at work.

lol I would imagine that power consumption has dropped a wee bit.
Um, size of one's arms is not necessarily indicative of strength.

I suppose that means they'll have to raise their rates. That's how the energy sector operates right:

demand increases: prices go up.
demand decreases: prices go up.

It's a "free" market - that is - free to screw us!
