- To the informed and intelligent mind, watching last night's debate on foreign policy was a profoundly depressing experience.

- It featured a man who has been president of the US for four years focusing not on what he had done in the past four year and planned to do in the next four years to make the American people safer and the world more peaceful but rather desperately attacking his opponent with misrepresentations of what his opponent had said under different conditions years ago and with boldfaced lies about what said opponent might do if he were the one in power.

- In addition to running away from his own dreadful record in power and falsifying his opponent's past statements and records, the president spent the 90 minute event glaring and glowering at his opponent in a way reminscent of Al Capone in the movie "Scarface" and also playing smallball with stupid and petty interjections and asides that diminished the presidency and diminished him (if he can be any further diminished).

- So it was Obama engaged in classic Chicago-style politics characterized by thuggish behaviour, lies and misrepresentations, lightweight pettyness and sloganeering for the moron crowd and, attacking your opponent visciously because you can't possibly defend your own record.

- Meanwhile, Romney remained presidential and took the high road and tried between BO's interruptions and diversions to talk about the larger and more significant global issues and trends and what America should do in response to these issues and in order to effectively influence these trends.

- Obama certainly won with the vacuous and uninformed left lib crowd and Romney won with the better educated and informed conservative crowd.

- Who won with the undecideds, the independents and the disenchanted is too tough to call regarding this third debate and there is unlikely to be much impact from the debate on the polls in any case.

- But to get back to the Dissembler-In-Chief Barack Obama, here are his10 most objectionable lies and misrepresentations from last night`s foreign policy debate.

10. BO lied that he had never intended to leave several thousand troops in Iraq when, in fact, he put Smirkin Joe Biden in charge of the mission of achieving a status of forces agreement with the Iraqis that would have kept a minimum of 5,000 and most likely more than 10,000 troops there just as in Germany, South Korea, Japan and everywhere else after the US has fought a war and wanted to secure its strategic gains from that war.

9. BO lied that Romney said or wrote that he did not care about the American auto industry (since his beloved father ran a car company, this is surely a bizarre allegation even for the morons who drink the Obama koolaide) and would not provide government loans or other financial safeguards if these were needed after Chrysler and GM emerged from managed bankruptcies Romney`s column in the New York Times at that time says that he would have done so.

8. BO lied that the US is stronger and more respected in the Middle East and elsewhere than it was four years ago. In fact, the US is signifcantly weaker economically, financially and militarily than it was four years ago, is less respected by credible world leaders who see this president as weak and inept and vacillating and who value strong, resolute and capable leaders, and is less respected among the people of the Middle East in almost every country there according to a scientific opinion poll taken just weeks ago.

7. BO lied that he did not embark upon an apology tour in the Middle East early in his presidency, a tour in which he had nothing but praise for the repressive ME dictatorships while he criticized his own country for being arrogant, insensitive, dismissive and dictatorial with other countries. Romney scored some of his best lines here including ``we don`t dictate to but we do liberate other countries``.

6. BO trotted out the serial lie he and his acolytes have used throughout the campaign about how Romney`s plan to cut the deficit doesn`t add up because it includes a 20% tax cut and military spending increases that add 7 trillion dollars to the deficit. What this thuggish liar doesn`t tell his worshipful flock of morons is that 1. Romney`s plan to grow the econmomy and add 12 million net new jobs in the next four years will add far more than 7 trillion in new revenues to the federal coffers as people start working and paying taxes again, 2. The 20% cut in tax rates will be largely offset by eliminating loopholes and exemptions in the current tax system that tend to benefit the rich while distorting the system and resulting in much too much time and legal and accounting fees devoted to beating the system. 3. The 7 trillion dollars that BO keeps referencing is actually 7 trillion dollars over ten years and easily compensated for through the economic and employment growth envisaged in the Romney plan plus the plan`s intention to cut the federal bureaucracy by 10% through attrition, to cancel programs that are there as empire building excercises instead of public goods and, to transfer some progams to the states when efficiencies disctate. Romney`s plan has been reviewed and endorsed by reputable economists.

5. BO lied about his own so called plan to pay down the deficit which he in 2008 promised to reduce by 50% in his first term and instead increased by 50% in his first term. According to BO, asking the very rich to pay a little more and the savings from the two wars he has ènded`will get the job done. What he fails to tell the morons is that his taxing the rich more gambit is nothing more than class warfare for political purposes because the additional revenue this raises will - AT THE VERY MOST - provide the government with 8 days a year of operations and that the so called savings from the two wars are not just inflated but non-existent in the sense that this was all borrowed money.

4. BO lied about the sequestration at the end of the year that will cut some one trillion dollars from the defence budget, a cut thaqt his own Secretary of Defence states will be a catastrophy for the military, when he stated that this sequestration will never happen. In fact, he no longer has any control of this and it will happen if congress allows it to happen.

3. BO``s embarrassing smallball for small minds, so unworthy of any president until the Chicago gang got in, reached its zenith when the moderator asked a question about Iran`s trade with China in persuit of a nuclear capability and Obama interjected that Romney couldn`t answer this question because he had invested in some Chinese company that does business with Iran. Only the morons were impressed by this since it has nothing to do with the big question asked by the moderator and since Romney hasn`t personally invested in any company in over a decade and has his assets in a blind trust invested by an arm`s length professional investor and since Romney gave the only knowlegeable and concrete answer of the evening about cracking down on China`s cheating.

2. BO`s lies about supporting the Green Revolution in Iran are too obvious and odious to require elaboration here.

1. In his monumental arrogance (or maybe his reflex action which is to lie) BO even lied about Romney`s sterling record as governor of Massachusetts (hey, if BO had a record this examplary he`d be able to talk about it instead of attacking the other guy). He falsely claimed that the Massachusetts scholarship plan under which the top one quarter of high school graduates by marks receive free tuition until graduation to any Massachusetts institution of higher learning was introduced before Romney became governor when, in fact, it was introduced by Romney as governor.

Please add to this list the other Obama lies, misrepresentations and errors of fact I have missed.

I think we get it, Teddy. You're not fully in support of Obama! But then there are sharper minds than yours who do support him!

Of course Romney NEVER lies!

How on earth would you know anything about the informed and intelligent mind?

- Certainly not from reading your crap nor that of your little lefty friend juan whose idea of a brilliant rebuttal is to put another stupid red minus sign beside someone else's post rather to provide intelligent, accurate and relevant copy or from your other lefty pal JLM who confirmed recently what everyone else already could tell which is that he knows nothing about American politics (not that this discourages him from making a fool of himself talking about American politics).

- To the informed and intelligent mind, watching last night's debate on foreign policy was a profoundly depressing experience.
So you must have found it uplifting...

I'm guessing you think republicans don't lie or attack opponents...

The presidency is diminished (along with the US itself) because of the bully-boy foreign policy the US has adopted in the last 25 years.

- So it was Obama engaged in classic Chicago-style politics characterized by thuggish behaviour, lies and misrepresentations, lightweight pettyness and sloganeering for the moron crowd and, attacking your opponent visciously because you can't possibly defend your own record.
You were obviously part of that crowd therefore admittedly a Moron. ;-)

- Obama certainly won with the vacuous and uninformed left lib crowd and Romney won with the better educated and informed conservative crowd.
And Romney certainly won with the vacuous and uninformed radical right crowd while Obama won with the highly educated and informed left and middle crowd. Do you expect a different result than conservatives thinking Romney won and the libs thinking Obama won. If you did you might want to seek psychiatric help.

- Who won with the undecideds, the independents and the disenchanted is too tough to call regarding this third debate and there is unlikely to be much impact from the debate on the polls in any case.
Those of us that are bright enough to recognize the truth in politics and elections realize it matters not who is elected because the real power is held by those in govt who don't run for office and the biggest investors in the campaigns.

A fine example of how the president really has no power and is just a figurehead. He probably didn't want any troops left behind but was overruled.

Romney only cares to the point that Bain might be able to buy up and part out any failing corp at a huge profit for the Mittster.

The lack of respect has nothing to do with who is in the oval office and everything to do with the capitalistic empirical foreign policy of the US.

The US IS arrogant, insensitive, dismissive and dictatorial with other countries. All they liberate is the resources.

When are the morons from both sides going to realize that the president cannot create any jobs nor create economic growth. They can adjust influencing factors somewhat but unless they hire an extra assistant they don't create new jobs. I don't believe it is possible to create 12 million jobs in 4 years by anyone under current global economic conditions.

Since a big part of the deficit is servicing the trillions in debt incurred for 2 illegal wars started by a prior administration you can hardly blame Obama. Class warfare is used by both sides, complaining it is one sided makes you look like a moronic partisan hack.

Like I keep saying, the president has no power to do anything.

Whether it is an arm's length investment or direct you have a guy who wants to be president who cares more about making a buck than who he is dealing with. You want a guy who will give lip service to the Iranian nuclear issue while making money from their nuclear program then vote for Mitt. I'm not sure how you justify supporting such a hypocrite but it's your life and opinion no matter how screwed up it is.

2. BO`s lies about supporting the Green Revolution in Iran are too obvious and odious to require elaboration here.
Why mention something you won't explain?

I would blame the team that prepped him for the debate. His fact checkers and writers obviously dropped the ball because there is no way either candidate does the research themselves. Just figurehead puppets and somebody pulled on the wrong string.

So Teddy, if you think classifying half the population as morons and stupid because of political views makes you look smart you are seriously mistaken. There are complete idiots on both sides (you are proof of that) and well educated and intelligent people on both sides. The most intelligent don't ever pick sides because we know that it is the same people that control the politicians on both sides or decide on what policies may move forward.

Your OP is offensive at best and really more of an unintelligent partisan ramble by a deluded moron who thinks attacking other voters will make a difference in anyone's opinion other than our opinion of you.;-)

Well Teddy, your post was so totally devoid of reason that I had no alternative. You have been attacking Obama with childish
garbage since you arrived here. On the other hand, it is easy to see that in what passes for your mind, Romney can do no
wrong. In any case, You must be used to little red minus signs by now.

- Hey, childish asshole juan, I just put a red minus mark beside your stupid post which refers to me "attacking Obama with garbage" but provides nothing, nadda, zilch, butkis, rien, zero in rebuttal to my points.

- Do you really think that anyone even marginally to the right of Che Guevera's ghost will fail to see that you are an obseessed left wing A hole with an IQ that is lower than Debbie Wasserman Schultz's morals and absolutely nothing original or relevant to say?

Whether it is an arm's length investment or direct you have a guy who wants to be president who cares more about making a buck than who he is dealing with. way either candidate does the research themselves.

- PoliticalNick ... Your absurd, stunningly stupid and utterly bogus opinions such as that presidents have no power and are mere figureheads and that fact checkers should carry the can for Obama's last six months of outright lies, smears and misrepresentations in his dirtiest presidential campaign since the 19th century are duly noted.

- If anyone needs psychiatric help around here, it would be you.

- Amid your litany of lunacy, the most egregiously false of all your Romney libels is your ignorant crap about Mitt wanting to be president while caring more about making a buck than who he is dealing with. IN REALITY, NUMBSKULL, Romney left Bain Capital before those among the founders who stayed became billionaires because he had made all the money he wanted or needed and decided to spend the remainder of his working life in public service just like his dad did. So he took on the Olympics job at no salary, he donated his salary as governor of Massachusetts ENTIRELY to charity, he has pledged to do the same thing with his salary as president, and he has donated 10 to 20 hours a week of his own time for decades to serving the less fortunate in his community not to mention several million dollars of his own money every year for at least the past twenty years to charitable causes.

- I have posted several videos here about Romney's incredibly generous heart and hands with his own time and his own money to help so many others through the years. (I have also posted information about how Obama has written off most of his family to abject poverty and how Biden usually gives less than a 1/4 of one per cent of his income to charity.)

- The fact that you have no even bothered to watch these videos of these ordinary people with tears in their eyes as they discribe Mitt's kindnesses and generosity tells me and I suspect others of all we need to know about your left wing lunatic leanings and your disgustingly dishonest smears of Romney and other conservatives.

- Get lost or find some fellow nutcase with whom to exchange ignorance and bile.

Ok, I tried to be nice as I could and even a little funny but you obviously had your wittle feewings hurt and felt the need to lash out so.....

Hey you stupid f*ck, just how damn low is your IQ to believe the bullsh*t any politician says? You are a prime example of the perfect rube that these idiots that run Washington (or Ottawa) pander to in order to make you think they care about you one way or another. You might as well elect them both (Rombama?) for all the difference it will make but you are just too insanely friken stupid to realize that. I would have to guess you are an apologist for the banksters that ruined the global economy and millions of lives while walking away with billions in profits from a trillion dollar publicly funded bail-out program. Your nonsensical litany of statements supporting Romney and putting down Obama show you have not the capability or mental aptitude for a serious discussion of the facts in politics. You so glaringly passed over the fact that I don't support any of them and tried to portray me as a leftist and this demonstrates your rabid support of the radical right at any cost even your own credibility and sanity.

So please let me be clear....I don't give a flying f*ck about Mittens grandstanding charity with his millions, I don't care about Obama lying (they all do it), I certainly don't think your highly partisan opinions are worth any more than rat sh*t and I couldn't care much less about you personally.

The day a candidate comes forward that doesn't take money from corps & banks and starts promoting policies that put individual citizens ahead of corporate interests and chooses not to go to war unless attacked I will start to care. Until then ALL politics are nothing but a farce and a fraud perpetrated against the citizenry. So please refrain from your ignorant insults of people you know nothing about and be happy in your delusion that any election means anything other than continuing the illusion you have a say in what happens.

To paraphrase an idiot....you are an obsessed right wing A hole with an IQ that is lower than Debbie Wasserman Schultz's morals and absolutely nothing original or relevant to say?

- When I wrote the opening post of this thread from memory, I asked for your help in listing some of the other lies uttered by Obama during last night's debate. Predictably, all I got was a bunch of left wing morons attacking me because they certainly couldn't defend Obama's lies any other way.

- However, the GOP website has now helpfully posted the following Obama lies from last night's debate. You'll recognize four of the ten I listed plus six new ones for a total of 16 BO nose stretchers (and nose holders) from his usual BS tour de force of last night.

Fact Checking Obama: 10 Lies And Counting

Obama Spends The Final Debate Stretching The Truth And Spinning His Record

LIE #1: OBAMA’S FAILED STATUS OF FORCES AGREEMENT

THE CLAIM: Obama Tried To Deny That He Proposed A Status Of Forces Agreement That Would Have Left Thousands Of Troops In Iraq. ROMNEY: “You didn’t want a status of forces agreement?” OBAMA: “What I would not have done is left 10,000 troops in Iraq that would tie us down. That certainly would not help us in the Middle East.” ROMNEY: “I’m sorry. You actually — there was an effort on the part of the president to have a status of forces against, and I concurred in that and said we should have a number of troops that stayed on. That was something I concurred with. That was your posture and mine as well. You thought it should have been 5,000 troops and I thought it should have been more troops.” OBAMA: “Governor, this was done a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago you indicated we should still have troops in Iraq.” ROMNEY: “No, I didn’t. Sorry, I indicated that you failed to put in place a status of forces agreement at the end of the conflict that existed.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
  • “Obama Suggested That Mr. Romney Was Mistaken In Seeking To Keep 10,000 American Troops In Iraq. But The Obama Administration Initially Sought To Do Just That.” “President Obama suggested that Mr. Romney was mistaken in seeking to keep 10,000 American troops in Iraq. But the Obama administration initially sought to do just that – and ultimately never managed to negotiate an agreement to allow any American troops in Iraq.” (Michael Gordon and Scott Shane, “Fact Check: A Status Of Forces Agreement?” The New York Times, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “Obama Sought To Negotiate A Status Of Forces Agreement That Would Have Allowed United States Troops To Stay In Iraq After 2011.” “Mr. Obama sought to negotiate a Status of Forces Agreement that would have allowed United States troops to stay in Iraq after 2011. Initially, the Obama administration was prepared to keep up to 10,000 troops in Iraq. Later, the Obama administration lowered the figure to about 5,000 troops – some 3,500 of which would be continuously based in the country while the remainder would periodically be rotated through. The role of the American forces would be to train Iraqi troops, patrol Iraq’s skies and help Iraqi commandos fight Al Qaeda.” (Michael Gordon and Scott Shane, “Fact Check: A Status Of Forces Agreement?” The New York Times, 10/22/12)
  • THE FACTS: “The Obama Administration Says That It Was Willing To Keep Some Troops In Iraq, But The Iraqis, Reflecting Their Concerns Over Sovereignty, Failed To Agree To The Necessary Immunities. “After the talks broke down, the Obama administration withdrew the remaining American troops in December 2011, the deadline set for withdrawing all American forces from Iraq under the Status of Forces Agreement that was concluded by George W. Bush and Mr. Mailiki in 2008.” (Michael Gordon and Scott Shane, “Fact Check: A Status Of Forces Agreement?” The New York Times, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “Obama Wanted To Leave Several Thousand Troops In Iraq.” “FactCheck.org notes that Obama wanted to leave several thousand troops in Iraq, but the Iraqis would have none of it. Romney strongly criticized the Status of Forces agreement with the Iraqi government, saying at a roundtable discussion in November 2011, ‘It is my view that the withdrawal of all of our troops from Iraq by the end of this year is an enormous mistake.’ Romney told Fox News that Obama should have left ’10-, 20- 30- thousand personnel there.’” (Josh Smith, Sophie Quinton, and Olga Belogolova, “Debate Fact Check: The Third Presidential Debate Between Barack Obama And Mitt Romney,” National Journal, 10/22/12)
  • THE FACTS: “Obama Also Wanted To Leave Several Thousand U.S. Troops In Iraq.” “Obama also wanted to leave several thousand U.S. troops in Iraq. He tried to negotiate a status of forces agreement with the Iraqi government to allow a residual U.S. force there, but the Iraqi government refused to grant legal immunity to any remaining U.S. troops. The last troops pulled out in December 2011.” (Brooks Jackson, “Homestretch Fact-Stretchers,” FactCheck.Org, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “Romney’s Right-Obama Did Try To Get A Status Of Forces Agreement, But Could Not Get An Agreement With The Government Of Iraq.” “ Romney’s right-Obama did try to get a status of forces agreement, but could not get an agreement with the government of Iraq. So now he stresses the fact that he has removed all troops from Iraq, while knocking Romney for supporting what he originally had hoped to achieve.” (Glenn Kessler, “Fact Check: Debate Over Iraq Withdrawal,” The Washington Post, 10/22/12)
  • THE FACTS: “Mitt Romney Claimed President Obama Was Looking To Keep Some Troops There As Well. … Our Verdict From What Mitt Romney Says Is Mostly True.” CNN’s JON BERMAN: “Coming up, this is the important context, on Iraq. Mitt Romney claimed that President Obama was looking to keep some troops there as well, which the president denied. …So what are the facts here? Well, Leon Panetta – the Secretary Of Defense – was negotiated to keep 3,000 to 5,000 troops in Iraq, within a so-called ‘Status of Forces’ agreement. This fell apart over the issue of whether U.S. troops would have certain immunity from prosecution. So our verdict here from what Mitt Romney says here is mostly true. The president did seem willing to leave some troops in Iraq under certain conditions, the deal just fell apart. ” CNN’s WOLF BLITZER: “That ‘Status of Forces’ agreement negotiation collapsed, as a result, all U.S. troops out of Iraq.” (CNN’s “Reality Check,” 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “Actually, The Obama Administration Tried For Many Months To Win Iraqi Agreement To Keeping Several Thousand American Troops There Beyond 2011 To Continue Training And Advising The Iraqi Armed Forces.” “Obama was suggesting that he had never favored keeping U.S. troops in Iraq beyond the December 2011 withdrawal deadline that the Bush administration had negotiated with the Iraqi government. Actually, the Obama administration tried for many months to win Iraqi agreement to keeping several thousand American troops there beyond 2011 to continue training and advising the Iraqi armed forces. The talks broke down over a disagreement on legal immunity for U.S. troops.” (Calvin Woodward, “FACT CHECK: Missteps In Final Presidential Debate,” The Associated Press, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: NBC’s Andrea Mitchell: “So Governor Romney is right, that the administration has tried and failed to get an agreement called Status of Forces Agreement that, in fact, would have allowed a small force of troops to remain for several years in Iraq.” (NBC, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: Fox News’ Chris Wallace: “I Think You Have To Give The Points To Mitt Romney On That… Romney Was Right, Obama Was Wrong. Obama Wanted And Failed To Get A Status Of Forces Agreement.” FOX NEWS’ CHRIS WALLACE: “Well, in fact, I think you have to give the points to Mitt Romney on that, provided as part of the troop withdrawal by George W. Bush and in a deal with the Iraqi Prime Minister is that there would be a status of forces agreement and that there would be a residual force there was talk of it as little as 5,000. The military wanted closer to 20,000. The person put in charge of it was Joe Biden, the Vice President, and at one point he said I will bet you my Vice Presidency, Malaki, the Iraqi prime minister will extend the status of forces agreement. But it all fell apart. They never got it, but it’s clear Romney was right, Obama was wrong. Obama wanted and failed to get a status of forces agreement.” (Fox News, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: NBC’s Richard Haass: “Even The Administration I Think Has Kept Open The Possibility Of A So Called Residual Force There.” NBC’s RICHARD HAASS: “Eventhe administration I think has kept open the possibility of a so called residual force there, and that was an odd counterpoint to the conversation about Iraq, where it was almost confusing. Governor Romney was saying we should have kept some forces there, and the president was talking about how good it was we had gotten all of our forces out when in fact, the United States did try to negotiate some sort of an arrangement with the Iraqis where some forces could stay. So I found all of this somewhat, somewhat odd. But again, to me the larger, the larger bottom line of the night was that on foreign policy issues actually, there was much more agreement than disagreement.” (NBC’s ” 2012 Presidential Debate,” 10/22/12)
LIE #2: OBAMA CLAIMED HE DID NOT PROPOSE THE SEQUESTER

THE CLAIM: Obama Claimed That The Sequester Was Not Something That He Proposed. OBAMA: “First of all, the sequester is not something I proposed, it’s something that Congress proposed. It will not happen.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “In Fact, The Idea May Have Come In Part From Obama’s Current Chief Of Staff, Jack Lew.” “In fact, the idea may have come in part from Obama’s current chief of staff, Jack Lew. The Washington Post’s Bob Woodward reported in his book ‘The Price of Politics’ that Lew, then-Office of Management and Budget director, and White House Legislative Affairs Director Rob Nabors broached the idea of a defense sequester as a threat to Republicans during negotiations over raising the debt ceiling.” (Josh Gerstein and Darren Samuelsohn, “Fact-Checking The Third Presidential Debate,” Politico, 10/22/12)
LIE #3: OBAMA MISCHARACTERIZED HIS POSITION ON CHINA

THE CLAIM: “President Barack Obama Called China An ‘Adversary’ Of The United States For The First Time During Tonight’s Debate, Changing His Own Administration’s Messaging On The U.S.-China Relationship And Contradicting His Own Secretary Of State.” “President Barack Obama called China an ‘adversary’ of the United States for the first time during tonight’s debate, changing his own administration’s messaging on the U.S.-China relationship and contradicting his own secretary of state. ‘China is both an adversary, but also a potential partner,’ Obama said during the debate. ‘China is doesn’t have to be an adversary,’ Romney responded.” (Josh Rogin, “Obama Contradicts Clinton, Calls China An ‘Adversary,’” Foreign Policy‘s The Cable, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton Appears To Agree With Romney, Not Her Boss. She’s Said On Several Occasions That China Is Not An Adversary And Doesn’t Have To Become One.” “Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appears to agree with Romney, not her boss. She’s said on several occasions that China is not an adversary and doesn’t have to become one. ‘Now, some believe that China on the rise is, by definition, an adversary. To the contrary, we believe that the United States and China can benefit from and contribute to each other’s successes,’ Clinton said in one her first speeches in office in 2009.” (Josh Rogin, “Obama Contradicts Clinton, Calls China An ‘Adversary,’” Foreign Policy‘s The Cable, 10/22/12)
LIE #4: OBAMA MISREPRESENTED ROMNEY’S RECORD ON THE AUTO BAILOUT

THE CLAIM: Obama Claimed That Romney Would Not “Provide Government Assistance To The U.S. Auto Industry.” OBAMA: “You were very clear that you would not provide government assistance to the U.S. auto companies even if they went through bankruptcy. You said that they could get it in the private marketplace. That wasn’t true. They would have gone through.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “Romney Is Correct In That He Called For A ‘Managed Bankruptcy.’” “Although ‘bankrupt’ often conjures up images of liquidation, Romney is correct in that he called for a ‘managed bankruptcy.’ This is a process in which the company uses the bankruptcy code to discharge its debts, but emerges from the process a leaner, less leveraged company. Ultimately, along with getting nearly $80 billion in loans and other assistance from the Bush and Obama administrations, GM and Chrysler did go through a managed bankruptcy.” (Glenn Kessler, “Fact Check: The Auto Industry Bailout,” The Washington Post, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: Time’s Michael Scherer: “Obama is wrong. Romney supported guarantees in bankruptcy. ‘The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing’” (Michael Scherer, Twitter Feed, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: Romney Argued “The Federal Government Should Provide Guarantees For Post-Bankruptcy Financing And Assure Car Buyers That Their Warranties Are Not At Risk. So At Least On That Point, Again, Romney Seems To Have Had The Record Straight.” FOX NEWS’ CHRIS WALLACE: “Finally, very briefly on the auto bailout, in an editorial that Romney wrote in November of 2008, which had the headline he didn’t write it, let Detroit go bankrupt. He did argue for bankruptcy, a managed bankruptcy but at the end he said: the federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk. So at least on that point, again, Romney seems to have had the record straight.” (Fox News, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: FactCheck.org: “Obama says Romney wouldn’t have provide any gov’t assistance for automakers. But Romney did propose loan guarantees.” (FactCheck.org, Twitter Feed, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: CNBC’s Scott Cohn: “Mitt Romney Did Not Write In That 2008 Op-Ed That He Wanted To Liquidate The Auto Industry. He Did Say He Wanted It Restructured Through Bankruptcy.” CNBC’s SCOTT COHN: “Well, Mitt Romney did not write in that 2008 op-ed that he wanted to liquidate the auto industry. He did say he wanted it restructured through bankruptcy with government guarantees after bankruptcy. That is a key difference from what happened, with the government providing financing for bankruptcy.” (CNBC, 10/22/12)
LIE #5: OBAMA CLAIMED IT COST LESS TO LIBERATE LIBYA THAN AMOUNT SPENT FOR TWO WEEKS IN IRAQ

THE CLAIM: Obama: It Cost Less To Liberate Libya Than What The U.S. Spent In Two Weeks In Iraq. OBAMA: “We were able to, without putting troops on the ground, at the cost of less than what we spent in two weeks in Iraq, liberate a country that had been under the yoke of dictatorship for 40 years. Got rid of a despot who had killed Americans.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: CNN’s John Berman: “Our Verdict Here Is False On The Math.” BERMAN: “So, what are the facts here? The total cost for the first five years of the war in Iraq was 646 Billion. Which breaks down to about 700 Million for two weeks which is less than the 896 million the U.S. spent on military intervention in Libya. Our verdict here is false on the math. Obama was right that Libya is cheap compared to Iraq overall, but he exaggerated by about 200 million dollars when he compared it to two weeks in Iraq.” (CNN, 10/22/12)
LIE #6: OBAMA CLAIMED ROMNEY’S JOBS PLAN WOULD CREAT JOBS OVERSEAS

THE CLAIM: Obama Claimed Gov. Romney’s Plan Will Create 800,000 Jobs Overseas. OBAMA: “If we take your advice with respect to how we change our tax codes so that companies that are in profits overseas don’t pay U.S. taxes compared to companies here that are paying taxes, now, that’s estimated to create 800,000 jobs. The problem is they won’t be here; they’ll be in places like China.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: FactCheck.org: “Obama says Romney’s plan would create 800 k jobs overseas. But study says foreign jobs could grow without costing US jobs…” (FactCheck.org, Twitter Feed, 10/22/12)
LIE #7: OBAMA CLAIMED ROMNEY SAID RUSSIA WAS AMERICA’S GREATEST GEOPOLITICAL THREAT

THE CLAIM: Obama Claimed Gov. Romney Has Said That Russia Was The U.S.’ Greatest Geopolitical Threat. OBAMA: “Governor Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that al-Qaida’s a threat because a few months ago when you were asked, what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia — not al-Qaida, you said Russia. And the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: “Romney Has Never Called Russia The No. 1 ‘Enemy’ Or ‘Threat’ To The United States, Despite Obama’s Claims On Multiple Occasions, Including Monday’s Debate.” (Josh Gerstein and Darren Samuelsohn, “Fact-Checking The Third Presidential Debate,” Politico, 10/22/12)
LIE #8: OBAMA LIED ABOUT ROMNEY’S EDUCATION RECORD

THE CLAIM: Obama Claimed That The Massachusetts Scholarship Program Happened Before Romney Became Governor Of Massachusetts. OBAMA: “That happened – that happened before you came into office.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: Obama Was “Incorrect.” “Also, Obama was incorrect when he said the Adams scholarships predated Romney.” (Josh Smith, Sophie Quinton, and Olga Belogolova, “Debate Fact Check: The Third Presidential Debate Between Barack Obama And Mitt Romney,” National Journal, 10/22/12)
LIE #9: OBAMA WAS WRONG ABOUT EGYPTIANS’ OPINIONS ABOUT AMERICA

THE CLAIM: Obama Claimed Opinions About The U.S. Have Improved In Egypt Under His Presidency. OBAMA: “In Egypt we stood on the side of democracy. In Libya we stood on the side of the people. And as a consequence there is no doubt that attitudes about Americans have changed.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: FactCheck.org: “Obama said attitudes of US have changed, mentioning Egypt. In Egypt, only 19% view U.S. favorably, down 3 pts since 08.” (FactCheck.org, Twitter Feed, 10/22/12)
LIE #10: OBAMA CLAIMED THE MILITARY DOESN’T USE BAYONETS

THE CLAIM: Obama: “Governor, We Also Have Fewer Horses And Bayonets Because The Nature Of Our Military Has Changed.” OBAMA: “I think Governor Romney maybe hasn’t spent enough time looking at how our military works. You mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916 well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets because the nature of our military has changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers where planes land on them. We have the ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines.” (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: Fox News’ Chris Wallace: “The Marines Still Use Bayonets, So It May Not Be Clear Who Doesn’t Understand What The Military Currently Uses.” FOX NEWS’ CHRIS WALLACE: “Well, as it turns out, in the middle of the debate, after he heard this, a marine tweeted Fox News and said: the Marines still use bayonets, so it may not be clear who doesn’t understand what the Military currently uses.” (Fox News, 10/22/12)

- Hey, childish asshole juan, I just put a red minus mark beside your stupid post which refers to me "attacking Obama with garbage" but provides nothing, nadda, zilch, butkis, rien, zero in rebuttal to my points.

.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of you until today, but now I've relegated you to a "distinct society", that inludes S.J.P., Avro, Cannuck, and the Wizard.............in other words all the "Rhodes' Scholars":lol:

Well Teddy, your post was so totally devoid of reason that I had no alternative. You have been attacking Obama with childish
garbage since you arrived here. On the other hand, it is easy to see that in what passes for your mind, Romney can do no
wrong. In any case, You must be used to little red minus signs by now.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who has more than a luke warm affiliation with ANY politician needs his head looked at, but possibly Obama may be as good as they get- maybe a C+.

You're gonna give someone a stroke soon Teddy my boy. I'll bet there are more than a few that think of your name throughout the day, before they log-on and such. Unwilling or unable to avoid or not to respond to your threads. Living rent-free in their heads. I mean, bravo young man.

But one tip if I may...there's no need to copy and paste 4,168 words into the thread like post #13. Nobody wants to scroll through all that crap. Besides, if you tease and troll properly, leave them wanting for more, gagging for proof, or even the chance to prove you wrong...then they have to click your link ya see. That way they sully their hipster/commie browsers with Fox-related text, cookies and such. Much more 'win' there. See what I'm gettin' at?

If not, just do us a favor and reduce the paragraph clubbing to death of CC will ya. Would hate to go all Nazi-Mod and arbitrarily edit out this or that.

Thanks in advance.

Right on..................good rule of thumb is two short paragraphs. That way most people will read it and the ones are interested will come back for more which you can add later.
