George Zimmerman back in court after domestic violence incident

George Zimmerman, the man who was acquitted in 2013 of murdering an unarmed black Florida teenager, was arrested Friday night in a domestic violence case, according to news reports.
Police said the 31-year-old was arrested around 10 p.m. in Lake Mary, just outside Orlando, on a charge of aggravated assault, according to the Associated Press. He is being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility and is due to appear in court Saturday morning, according to the AP.
“Zimmerman was charged with aggravated assault and is currently on a no bond status,” a member of the Sheriff’s Office told NBC News. “The next step in the process is first appearance. At this time, the judge may address bond status.”
