I don't have a problem with people who can't help themselves. I'm willing to help them. But my heart turns hard when it comes to people who won't help themselves.

Yes. That difference should be noted. I've met a few of the "won't" help themselves variety. I wasn't able to get through to them the need to try. Hopefully somebody else was. It's a hard lesson to learn, that you can't always logic someone into helping themselves

Yep, some people just figure the world owes them a living and as long as the food banks keep feeding them they will never become self sufficient. Some people just need to be shocked into the real world!.
