This is a thread for those who might normally sympathise with teh left but still have a right streak on at least some issues none-the-less.
I'm not particularly partisan, but if I had to choose, I'd probably be moderate left.
On the other hand, there are areas in which I'd certainly consider myself moderate (some might say far) right:
Capital punishment for murder and arson (with the option of life imprisonement).
More decentralization of power to the local levels of government.
Fines for adultery.
Branding for third theft offences.
Life defined as beginning at conception.
Marriage granted only to one heterosexual male and one heterosexual female.
Those are some examples of my left views. While I'm sure they might seem harsh, I do have some more compassionate left views too, but this here is a thread for the right, so I'll focus more exclusively on my right-leaning views here.
So are there other left-leaners (or those who'd normally consider themselves left-leaning) out there who make exceptions for certain principles?
