Something in the news today

Americans must be going through "election withdrawal" as they are tuning into the Canadian election crisis in record numbers

They see it as some kind of sideshow and can't believe that governments and elections seem to take place on a whim.

They are particularly shocked by Harper suspending Parliment as they liken that to something that happens in a third world dictatorship

Canada is essentually a conservative nation with a social conscience.

I'd like to see you elaborate on this Colpy. Because I've never considered Canada a conservative nation. But maybe this is because i'm a Quebecer. Quebecers tend to identify more to the ''progressive'' and social-democratic ideal...
