Whether you're right or wrong, will you feel powerless at kids throwing rocks at you?
You know what's stupid ?
Throwing rocks at soldiers with guns.
The parents will be the first to cry if something bad happens.
And so will you.
You want to mouth off at the police giving you a ticket?
What if he forgets the rules and lets you have it?
Foul !!! You cry.
But then that's just one of a million stories that counter each other, but the bad stories get the best ratings.

The kids are throwing rocks at them because the kids don't want them there, Jimmy. Part of that is because the Americans killed so many kids during their illegal invasion. Now they want to shoot the kids for throwing rocks? And you expect us to empathize with the children? Funny.

Yeah you're right on the matter.
But the story is selective.
There's a million stories over there, where the kids approach the soldiers all the time, curious, wondering. And as a parent you would want to teach your kid the kind of survival skills that insure against stupidity.
There's even stories of Palestinians seeing the stupidity of their own people ruining some of the industry of zionists in the Gaza Strip.
I don't see the left or the right even understand the matter in a more complicated way.

Geez. Have you ever been on the receiving end of any violence?
A couple of years ago a kid dropped a rock off a throughway overpass on one of our armoured trucks. It was the size of both of my fists. The truck was doing 110 km/hr, and the rock hit the windshield perfectly square on to the driver's face. It embedded in the bulletproof glass, penetrating it part way, causing the driver to almost loose control of the vehicle. Any other type of truck, and the driver would have been missing his head.
If the guards could have done it with impunity, they'd have shot at the little prick. Of course, he got away.
When I was a kid, four of us dropped a 200 lb block of stone off a high point on Burpee Ave. It bounced twice, smashed through a guy's back door, and through the floor into the basement. Something like a medieval catapult effect. We ran like hell. Lucky we didn't kill someone. We never got caught.
This is not an act of resistance, it is an act of childish bravado, and the only way to stop it is with punishment. Perhaps CS gas (mace) canisters from the trucks would be the answer.
These soldiers' lives are at risk here. And they didn't shoot anyone. Good for them. I think this is evidence of how benevolent they are, not how awful they are.
