Someone in one of these forums called the American establishment "heartless bastards." So, they're not entirely heartless after all?!
This is one of the best ideas so far:smile: A shame tho,that the US waited for their economy to become worse than the Cubans to start.
You'll have to try one of these weird animals when you get
there. They're called a Coco Taxi and they tend to roll over
at times, but they're a blast if you consistently lean into the
corners with the driver, and she realizes what you're doing,
then they'll really open this thing up and fly...:lol:
Just sit behind the diriver, and lean forward, and lean hard
into the corners and the body will lean a bit with you...so
with some speed you slingshot through a corner. Oh yeah,
only the Driver gets a helmet.
What would they eat? Genuine American cuisine is not exactly commonplace.
No "tater tots", hotdogs, grits, hush puppies. Would the culinary schock be too much?

You can walk down the street with a beer, and I don't know
if you can drink in a Coco Taxi or not, 'cuz you'll want both
hands to hang on, so I never tried. These things aren't quiet,
so you can scream all you want and I doubt anyone would
even notice (most sort'a sound like a lawnmower/chainsaw).
I bet you could drink & yell on one of these buses, and nobody would notice either:

I guess it would get to be like Ft Lauderdale after a few yrs. Trash all over the place. 70 yr old obese men in speedo's, 70 yr old winkled women in bikinis.

I remember seeing a conference list a few years ago listing the names of various participants. It mentioned the name of not one American, but did mention that Americans woud be present. Americans have been going there already, just illegally of course.
Not many worry about the average though. I think the poor in Cuba have it better than the poor in the US or Canuckville
