The story grows.
Two Italian newspapers say that the general in charge of the Sgrena operation did not inform the US that Calipari's mission was to free Sgrena, and one of them reports that General Mario Maroli didn't even know it himself.
Reverend Blair said:
Your government just killed another journalist who wouldn;t write what they wanted.
This bullshit argument that the US targeted a communist journalist just doesn’t fly. They didn’t even know she was freed. Seems the Italians were keeping that to themselves, probably because they were paying a ransom to free the communist, but that doesn’t matter. The point is, American military forces did not deliberately attack or ambush the communist because they didn’t know she was in the car.
Further, her story changes (almost every other day).
"It's not true that they shot into the engine," she told Corriere della Sera, adding that the shooting came "from the right and from behind."
Yeah. American forces were trained by the French. They surround their targets so that when they open fire, they risk hitting their own.
This women is stupid. First she went to Iraq thinking the terrorists would welcome her because she would write only news that favored the terrorists. Then she is captured and taken prisoner. Why? Because the Italians pay money to get their hostages back. But that seems to have been lost on the communist journalist.
Then she tells stories of “raining bullets” and “tanks” and “picking up bullets by the handful.” And for the destructive force she describes, one man died of a single shot to the temple and very little damage is noted to the vehicle.
She’s stupid alright. But I am being redundant. She’s a communist.
