Trump pardons former San Francisco 49ers owner Edward DeBartolo Jr. over involvement in corruption case
DeBartolo was involved in the case against former Louisiana governor Edwin W. Edwards (D), testifying in 1998 that he gave Edwards $400,000 to guarantee that there would be no problems with his application for a riverboat casino license.
DeBartolo pleaded guilty to failing to report a felony in the case and agreed to pay up to $1 million in fines and was placed on two years' probation. He turned over control of the 49ers to his sister.

Blagojevich has argued he was a victim of federal prosecutors run amok �� a claim Trump himself levied at former special counsel Robert Mueller��s team, which investigated Russian interference in the 2016 election and the president. Kerik was a close ally of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal attorney.
