Trudeau to dine with the Aga Khan in Ottawa

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will dine with the Aga Khan on Wednesday — part of the spiritual leader's tour through Canada to mark his diamond jubilee.
The Prime Minister's Office confirmed Trudeau and the Aga Khan will share a meal at Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor General.
"Canada and the Ismaili Imamat have a long history of partnership with programs around the world that have a positive impact on people's lives. We have worked together on a number of development and humanitarian initiatives that target the world's poorest and most vulnerable, including women and girls," said a press release from Global Affairs Canada announcing the Aga Khan's visit.
The Aga Khan will also travel to Vancouver and Calgary as he celebrates 60 years as the spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslim faith.
Known for his charitable work, the Aga Khan was at the centre of a political headache for Trudeau last year when it was revealed the prime minister traveled to the Muslim leader's private island in the Bahamas for a Christmas vacation.
The former ethics commissioner, Mary Dawson, ultimately found the vacation breached four sections of the Conflict of Interest Act. She criticized Trudeau for failing to consider the potential ethical pitfalls of accepting a free vacation to the private island when the federal government has dealings with the Aga Khan's foundation.
Trudeau defended the trip as a chance to spend time with an old friend. In her report, Dawson concluded that — apart from the Aga Khan's attendance at the funeral of his father, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, in 2000 — the younger Trudeau had no interactions with him between 1983 and the fall of 2013, a span of 30 years.

Trudeau and his family stayed at the Aga Khan's home on Bell Island in the Bahamas from Dec. 26, 2016, to Jan. 4, 2017. Trudeau later publicly confirmed he was taken there by the Aga Khan's private helicopter.

Yep. While it's not the least bit unusual for US presidents to send campaign assets to candidates they like and feel they can work with in other countries, including Canada, I've never seen one sending assets to both left-wing parties in order to ensure the Conservatives are defeated. And you're right, it IS collusion. In fact, it's something the US does all the time, including to the Ukraine and Russia during Obama's tenure.
And based on how flawed Trudeau has proven himself to be, I'm not sure US meddling will help him win this time unless they actually rig the election.
His shine is gone in Ontario, outside of mental midgets like the flosstard who still worship His Nibs. His shine is gone in Quebec too. In Canada, if you can't carry at least one of those two provinces you're going to have a hard time winning an election. And if you do, it'll likely be a minority govt.

Without the meddling of the US Government it may be a little tougher for Justin to win his seat. Collusion between the Obama Administration and the Trudeau Campaign is well documented.

A lot of the electorate remember very little/ know nothing about his old man, but if they did they would know the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree! :) Having a platinum spoon in one's mouth doesn't make for a good leader. For one thing they know nothing about the real side of life and secondly they aren't able to set a good example...…………...all they know how to do is spend, spend, spend!

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him..

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and Jesus silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A liberal will delete it because he or she is "offended."
