one the one hand you say we ship coal to China to'fuel their power plants" - and on the other hand you say you never mentioned thermal coal.
coal that is used to make electricity is called thermal coal.
we don't even export that sort of coal outside of American thermal coal that now goes through Canada because no American port wants to touch the shit.
none of it goes to China.
so in future when you feel compelled to say something about something maybe just stfu
Speaking of liars and morons who should shut the f*ck up.
https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/energy/facts/coal/20071

The Canadian coal industry produces coal for use in metallurgical applications (e.g., coking or steelmaking) and thermal applications (e.g., electricity generation).
About 7% of Canada's coal exports are thermal coal. (That's around 2 million tons) Maybe YOU should get a clue about what you're talking about instead of whining about someone lying while you lie away without a care in the world. Which is pretty much your M.O. anyway. And by the way, much of that thermal coal IS shipped to China.

As for your crap about US coal, BC makes money from that. BC is the point of shipment for 80% of all of Canada's coal exports as well. BC also produces 41% of Canada's coal, although the vast bulk of it is metallurgical. And it's not a case of "no American port wants that shit" (thermal coal). It's case of a bunch of granola munchers in Washington, Oregon and California blocking shipments of coal from Montana and Wyoming. There's no shortage of thermal coal arriving at ports in the South and along the Eastern Seaboard.

It's also funny how the BC granola munchers don't protest the US coal shipments to BC like they do with Canadian oil.

Jason Kenney Is Now Premier-Designate Of Alberta. What Does That Mean For The Trans Mountain Pipeline?

Pretty interesting article raising an interesting question, I say he drops it into the laps of the interested Native coalition
What specific parts. The part below says it is a scam and the ones pulling the strings are not in Ottawa.

In the fall, a report by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change suggested Canada's objectives are far from what's needed to stop the planet from catastrophically heating up, bringing along with it deaths, migration challenges, and species extinction.

For the record the pipeline died the same day Russia and the EU signed an oil/gas supply deal. Repeat after me, Canada has one export customer and it is the US and only the US. The heavy oil will be coming from Venezuela rather than Canada soon enough, that and no customers will be looking at Canadian products means no pipeline will be built. The one carrying NG to the east is the one that will be missed when the US refuses to ship any of it back into Canada.

How could anyone be so completely misinformed as to think that coal was not protested in Vancouver.

Are you really that stupid?

Kenney is likely going to find that a lot of the sh*t that's in his head won't transpire! :)
I got a kick out of him gassing on about transfer payments when he was one of the architects of the current version of the storm tat is in place, right now.

Populism, eh? Blah-blah to impress the masses.

Actually there is VERY LITTLE or NO Cdn coal being exported anyplace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The coal being exported from the largest coal port in North America- that would be Port of Vancouver..........................

comes from United States as Yankee ports dont want to bother with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its just another of those little "adjustments" to environmental and economic reality that LIE-berals are sometimes forced to make!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who care- the major portion of coal being burned in China comes from Australia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Australia is currently the world leader in exporting coal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Australians dont like holding that record either but they need the jobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just like the environmental HYPOCRITES in Vancouver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liberals extend deadline for Trans Mountain pipeline decision to June 18

OTTAWA — The federal government is delaying its decision on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project until June 18 so it has more time to complete consultations with Indigenous groups.

The National Energy Board endorsed an expansion of the pipeline on Feb. 22, starting the clock on a 90-day period for Ottawa to make a final call.
That established May 22 as the original deadline.
Consultation teams continue to meet with potentially impacted Indigenous groups, Natural Resources Minister Amarjeet Sohi said in a statement.
"This process includes engaging in meaningful, two-way dialogue — to discuss and understand priorities of the groups our teams meet and to offer responsive accommodations, where appropriate," he said.
"I also continue to build relationships with Indigenous groups, and I want to thank them for their time and such thoughtful conversations."
Construction of the pipeline expansion was put on hold last year after the Federal Court of Appeal ruled the board failed to consider marine impacts and the government needed to do more Indigenous consultation.
The government remains committed to doing "things differently" on the project and moving the process forward with guidance from the Federal Court of Appeal, Sohi said.
"This means ensuring that consultations are not only meaningful, but also open and transparent," he said.
The NEB report in February made 16 new recommendations for the government, including implementing measures to reduce ferry noise, adding incentives and establishing requirements for quiet vessel design.

Gov. not offering enough compensation yet?
