I think that given the controversies with Catholic schools across the world, the promotion of unprotected sex in Africa, and the general brainwashing, maybe they don't do such a good job.

Controversies?...... and the Catholic Church doesn't promote unprotected sex in Africa or anywhere else. The Catholic Church promotes sex between married couples only. No premarital sex, and abstinence, which is more reliable in preventing STD's and pregnancy than all the condoms in the world.

Let's get in the real world. the Catholic Church would like the 1950s to return too, but that's not the current reality. The CC can promote whatever they want, but they ought to be taxed like a regular business while they do so.

Fewer and fewer people think those crazy old CC guys have anything special to say, so treat their corporation like any other corporation financially. This is not persecuting churches at all, it just creates a more level playing field.

The 1950s? I suspect much of the hierarchy in the Catholic Church would prefer the 14h century, but as you pointed out that is not going to happen. Telling church members to avoid having sex out of marriage is a policy that no one has ever paid much attention to over the centuries. The reality is that people have sex in or out of marriage and the Catholci Church should realize that by now.

and you're missing the point, which is no surprise. The anti Catholic dick heads always ignore what they don't like to hear.

One of the main reasons for the rampant AIDS epidemic in Africa is because of promiscuity and unprotected sex. The Catholic Church condemns promiscuity. These people IGNORE that condemnation yet say that they CAN'T use condoms because the Catholic Church says no to them? Hypocrite much? IF they followed the Catholic Church's edicts, ALL OF THEM, they wouldn't have f*cking AIDS. Instead, they screw around like crazy, get infected, and then idiots like you blame the Catholic Church. Grab a f*cking brain and put the blame where it belongs. The individuals who couldn't keep their pecker in their pants or the dime between their knees.

Blaming AIDS in Africa solely on promiscuity is as misguided as solely blaming the Church for its spread. There are a number of facets to the issue and the while the Catholic Church may not be as guilty as some, its stances on sex doesn't help matters.

Totally.

Saying the RCC is mentally in the 1950s is far too kind. Like most organizations with origins in Asia, they are locked into the 12th century, at best. The RCC is a dated organization and need to be corralled to limit their potential damage in the future and using financial means is good way to achieve it.

We WERE talking about RCC stance on condoms. That would pretty much preclude AIDS through blood transfusions, birth, dirty needles, because if THAT was also the RCC's fault, I would need that explained to me.

The RCC's stance on sex, if followed, would pretty much preclude the transmission or catching of STD's. Condoms as a form of disease control would not be needed.

You're probably one of the sheep giving money weekly to the corrupt RCC. Time to stop the addicition.

I gather you can't dispute what I have said about the Holy Roman Catholic Church.

I don't care what the RCC says about religion or sex. Yawn.

The point of this thread is to tax churches like any other business. More accountability and transparency is the goal.
