Well, I dunno about that, the relatively few examples we have--like Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, Golda Meir, Eva Peron, Benazir Bhutto--don't inspire confidence that women in power are any less prone to violence than men. But I do think that any culture in the modern world that deliberately structures women out of the daily affairs of the nation is doomed. Men and women understand things differently, have different priorities and attitudes, even different values sometimes, and if we're going to make it as a species, we need to listen to everybody and think about what they say. A society that shuts down half the intelligence available to it doesn't deserve to survive.... there'd be fewer wars if there were more women leading countries.
