United Empire Loyalists into Louisiana?
Are you possibly referring to the Acadian french?
Well we're evenWhat at the time was Louisiana , the French sold them back .
The United Empire Loyalists into what is now the Maritimes and Louisiana. Where will you flee to ?
Really tell me your version of the American Revolution and the dispersal of the population in its aftermath ?The Cajuns are U.E.L.s?
AHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I've wondered from time-to-time if you're an American. It sure explains your dismal knowledge of this country.
And while at it explain the Canadian population and ethnic distribution in the 1770’s and well at it explain where the borders between our present countries were drawn .Really tell me your version of the American Revolution and the dispersal of the population in its aftermath ?
The Acadians were long gone by the time of the American Revolution. The Acadian Expulsion was carried between 1755 and 1764 during the Seven Years War (what you Yanks call the French Indian war in spite of it happening all over the World)Really tell me your version of the American Revolution and the dispersal of the population in its aftermath ?
No my Mother's family has been here a very long time. I have UEL ancestors from both New York and Pennsylvania who settled on the Niagara peninsula around 1780. They are still there on the same land. And while at it explain the Canadian population and ethnic distribution in the 1770’s and well at it explain where the borders between our present countries were drawn .

All those that wished to remain loyal to the Brittish monarch took off to French controlled Louisiana.....obviously.
The Acadians were not part of that. Some of them made their way back to Acadia after their expulsion but they sure weren't Loyalists.Funny, I thought a whole shyte ton of them came to New Brunswick, specifically Saint John since they promote a festival of Loyalists ever year...
Guess that's not a truth...

I know it well.My old man is from the New Richmond Kweebeck area. My kin folk founded the place after leaving Richmond Virginia
I was born in Regina. I've worked exploration decades ago in the Ring & Fontas Fields (on a map, it's where AB & BC & NWT meet, right on that T) and have lived in Calgary and Red Deer, but my Family was back on the southern prairies. I came home. I'm assuming that's the reason most people do what you're inquiring about above. Conversely, my girl was born in BC and grew up in the Yukon, spent her 'teens in Northern Sask, and here we are both in Regina. We are both home. While getting gas today there was a vehicle parked also partaking. Someone else at the pumps asked where they were from. "Alberta," they said.
"Oh, so you're moving here?"
"Actually we're moving back, we used to live here. Long drive."
Which got me thinking... if Alberta is so wonderful, why do so many who leave the poor ass Maritimes to go out there to work, come back here to live?
It doesn't make sense to me. Sure it's more expensive to live out there but the jobs are better, things are wonderful (according to some westerners I hear) so... why move back here?
Just a curiosity really.

I don't pretend to know what's involved with the Bar Exam in US Jurisdictions, but when a Friend & Relative was going through the process up here, I was one of his sounding-boards. He had a list of 300 questions (all not related to the law) to run through in order to challenge the way a person reasons their way through debate. Mind bending questions. Here's one I recall decades later:Almost as cute as you judging who can and cannot pass a bar exam without ever having seen, much less taken, a bar exam, or spoken to someone who has, except possibly trying to get you off a drunk-driving or wife-beating charge.
They should have told .Saskatchewan government asks Ottawa for more control over immigration
Alberta's economic outlook sours amid a credit downgrade, muted energy spending
We'll cut the population down to 1-1/2 million, pump money out of the ground and turn down the heat so that a million and a half immigrants a decade don't overload the infrastructure. If only Central Canada were like Sask. we wouldn't be so deep in debt.
Saskatchewan projects $37M surplus, NDP calls for running deficit
Hopefully Ford turns Ont. around it will be embarrassing for the West to foreclose on the Central Provinces
We'll cut the population down to 1-1/2 million, pump money out of the ground and turn down the heat so that a million and a half immigrants a decade don't overload the infrastructure.
That'll fix Ontario tickety boo and make it JUST like Saskatchewan.
We"LL even forget that until fifteen years ago, Saskatchewan was one of and sometimes THE poorest province in Confederation. Doesn't easy money make one cocky?
