Or Char!

Why would it take a f**KINg expert to come up with that? Are experts so rare in Old Blighty that they have to "grab" what they can?

A Japanese zoo has apologized for naming a baby monkey Charlotte after people complained it was disrespectful to the newborn British princess.
Mount Takasaki Wild Monkey Park let the public vote on a name for its newest macaque.
Charlotte shot to the top of the poll after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced the name of their second child. Before that, it wasn't even a contender.
"We are very glad it was given such a beautiful name," zoo official Satoshi Kimoto told the BBC upon announcing the name Wednesday,
But the name quickly backfired, and Kimoto backpedalled.
Zoo officials told the BBC they received more than 300 calls and e-mails from people claiming it was offensive to the British people to name a monkey after their princess.
"We are so sorry for causing so much trouble," Kimoto later said. "We need to look at this issue again."

Monkey will be called Charlotte despite protest

A Japanese zoo that apologized for naming a baby monkey Charlotte after some complained it was disrespectful to the newborn British princess said Friday the macaque will keep the name because the royal family didn't object.
Mount Takasaki Wild Monkey Park received 853 votes on what to name the baby monkey. There was a surge of votes for the name Charlotte after the birth of the princess to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
But zoo officials told the BBC they received more than 300 calls and e-mails from people earlier in the week claiming it was offensive to the British people to name a monkey after their princess.
Despite the apology, the name isn't going to change.
"We have decided to respect the feelings of the people who voted for the name to congratulate the birth of the princess," city spokesman Kazuyuki Adachi told The Associates Press.
Even the mayor chimed in to support the original name.
"I think the public gave it the very pretty name Charlotte, and I don't think there is any problem with it, so we'll go with Charlotte," Mayor Kiichiro Sato told reporters.

Somebody would actually protest THAT?

The world is dumbing down faster than I thought.
