And of course you have proof of this- But you cannot share due to possible repercussions. Is that right?
... i have opinions, positions, comments ...

... likewise, you aren't able to provide any definitive proof that the runner is a lawbreaker. i'll wait for the evidence to come out in the trial ...

... how very true ...

... canadian cops are a joke. this is just grandstanding. they'll do anything, including picking on innocent people like this, to get into the news ...

In what manner was he innocent? Driving 10km/h on a highway with a 60km/h minimum speed?

If he had, there would have been an escort.

Lots of people are out doing long distance charity runs, and they think that because they are doing it for charity, everyone should just let them do whatever they want to.

Where did I state he was a criminal- A ticket was issued- he goes to court- The judge decides. Have you not been to court?

You stated this
the runner wouldn't have been on the highway without prior government clearance. the cops screwed up ...

Now do you have a credible source such as a news article- And the Space Channel does not meet the criteria for creditability.

... didn't say you did ...

... and whether or not he had a police escort is totally irrelevant -- doesn't make a difference at all ...

... it was the police who broke the law, not the runner. the cops are guilty of illegal confinement, harassment, etc. ...

State the section of the criminal code that the police broke.

The runner broke the law in Quebec and was fined. He is not the only runner that has been told they can't run on the transCanada. Terry Fox was also told he couldn't run on the TC through Quebec and had to use secondary roads.

... i already did. they broke the law when they picked him up and took him to the cop shop. that's unlawful confinement and harassment. oh, and let's throw in criminal kidnapping and extortion as well, shall we?

The highway is signed "No Pedestrians" and running is as close to pedestriating as it gets without walking.

... i think we're all in agreement that the individual wasn't a pedestrian, that he was a runner taking part in a charity event. or are we not all clear on that yet?

plus, as has been already pointed out, just because you are doing something for charity it does not exempt you from following the highway laws.

Nope we are not- If he was crawling alongside of the road he would receive a ticket- He had to walk before he could run. Can you understand the logic?

Where was his police escort? Are you going to tell me you'd have kajones enough to walk, run or otherwise on a Quebec highway where traffic approaches from the direction where your eyes aren't?

To do that you would not need balls but be certifiable- Yeah I guess he would.

If that's true, wouldn't they have just assassinated him instead?

I think this states my opinion of your post quite clearly.

No, it just states how completely lacking your position is.

It doesn't take much examination of facts to realize just how far we've come from just a few decades ago when it comes to personal and political freedom in this country and not for the better.

Stupid little video clips don't change that fact.
