But what do they have to do with what a candidate's qualifications are?

I really did think that there was a requirment that the PM be bilingual.

If you ever heard Chretien speak in either official languages, you would know that he was not fluent in either. He, maybe this does set a precedent..yes it did, Martin was only fluent in obfuscation and dithering.

I'm so disappointed.

I'm sure she's totally qualified to be PM.

Thank God she's out of the Tory party.

Poor little rich girl, all dressed up and nowhere to go and no one to play with. Maybe smiling Jack has a spot for her, that's her next option............naw, even the knee dippers wouldn't want Belinda..........would they????

Stronach played a gamble in crossing to the Liberals. She figured that she had a better chance of becoming the party leader/prime minister in the aging Liberals than in the Young strong Conservatives. I think her crossing over showed the stupidity of even designating parties as technically right or left. This crossing the floor was supposed to be used as a strong message over your own parties decisions that you felt you couldnt accept. Now it is a way of manuvering yourself into a cabinet post.
