So it appears Michael Brown was not an innocent teenager gunned down by the police.

Dead people also have no ability to answer for their transgressions, nor can they provide compensation or answer to the justice system.

That argument goes both ways
Michael Brown already suffered the maximum penalty we have. What else do you want to do to him? Lock up his corpse in the county jail for 30 days?

Northern Ontario,
That's OK...If you're a police officer and someone just tried to take your weapon, and didn't manage to do it.....you're not supposed to go after that person walking away.....He just might turn back on you and you would be forced to shoot him.... and some wannabe lawyer would condemn you for it, with or without the approval of the supreme court....got it!

Big surprise. Anyone want to concede?

Anyone? Or are the cops all thugs and this a big coverup?

Hello? Is this thing working?

no surprise and most sensible people can see it for what it was.

the few that can't or won't are the easily offended, often swayed, low-info types that are being tweaked by professional instigators from beyond ferguson, self-important community organizers and skuzzy legal yahoos

give it up already.

Sure, I'll concede. Cops killing unarmed non-whites is a good thing. Coz non-whites are bad. Their explanations should be taken at face value and never, ever questioned.

The only remaining question is whether this rule should apply to whites as well. But that's a subject for another day. For now, let us celebrate the death of Michael Brown and encourage Officer Wilson and his comrades to kill many, many more unarmed teenagers.

And always remember, "He reached for his waistband."

Way to shut down that OP haha

He took that one example for a ride down the slippery slope.

I'm not calling this one yet.

I was somewhat shocked at the vid of the two onlookers, neutral witnesses..............

Neither am I willing to condemn the cop yet, people, including witnesses, simply do not understand street shootings.....especially when they don't see it all.

Brown was NOT shot from behind, that is showed by the autopsy.

Can someone link me to an article on the trial and verdict? I think I missed it.

There will be no trial because the evidence being brought forth indicates it was a justified shooting. The officer's claim that Michael Brown made a play for his gun seems to be corroborated by witness testimony (even black folks) and forensic science.

Of course, the black witnesses might have all been Uncle Tom's.

Perhaps he was challenged by a cop in the street, I would be concerned too as I
have less and less confidence in my personal safety when cops are around
The only contact with authorities is a parking ticket or two.
If I were walking at night and coming to meet me were two police officers and on
the other side were two bikers I would walk to meet the bikers. They don't bother
people unless you do something to deserve it.
This kid was challenged I believe and he fought back its still no reason to kill him.
Its the same repeat of the Florida situation people taking on something they can't
do. If a cop can't use enough bodily force they shouldn't be on the force. I remember
as a kid the cops were big usually pretty mild and tougher than nails.
In addition we had respect for them because they earned respect and that trust has
been lost. We need a swarm of cops to bring down a guy with a knife in a bus and
the cops had guns. Soon the joke will be how many cops are needed to arrest one
jay walker? Whether the cop was right or wrong we have seen too many gun happy
cops lately and they are losing the respect of old grey haired guys like me.
I know two or three and they are good cops but there are too many who are not and
the fault is with the executive branch of the force

Trial by rioting mobs... I'm surprised that you missed it

Did the protests decide Michael Brown was not an innocent teenager gunned down by the police? Maybe for some people, but those people were inclined that way before the protests.

Ah see I was wondering why you said you weren't surprised. Did you know something all along that no one else knew? But then you said "even black folks" and removed all the guess work.

They don't bother
people unless you do something to deserve it.

AND you don't have a clue.

But funny how you used bikers and not Mike Brown and his buddies. So racist lol

No I do not but confidence in the police is falling by the day.
I don't trust what they say or report as the facts anymore.
Money and drugs go missing from police lock ups in BC
and those responsible get demoted or suspended or a
minor blotch on their record
The cops who killed the Polish guy at the airport was the last
straw for me in this country. We have had all kinds of problems
some are suspended with pay for a year or more and very little
happens.
Every Cop every one of them should face the same prison time
and sentence as anyone else would.
I amazed at how people can over look the indiscretions of police
and pretend all is well. It reflects on the ones who do their job
and it lowers the level of respect for the force when some are
given special consideration. They say things like "It was an error
in judgement" and they get a slap on the wrist.
We holler like hell and rightfully so when a criminal does something
and gets off. Why is it we thing a cop has suffered enough and he
or she gets little.
Its time to clean things up. Actually I think its sad that a proud
institution is slowly becoming what they are becoming
I am usually just silent because I can't tell my grand kids the police
are what they used to be respected as a force There are always
bad apples its just that we've allowed too many to wear the uniform
and it needs to be cleaned up
