Democrats have always been racist and pit poor and middle class white people against poor and middle class African-Americans. That is the only way they can survive.

No, I'm not. As much as you try to deny it, bringing up Ron Paul's racist writings is perfectly legitimate for a thread about Ron Paul. Takes a lot of logical gymnastics to say that it's not legitimate.

Nevertheless these threads can go all over the place, and they do.

So, as you steer the thread away from it's intent by saying he's probably a racist. I steer it away by pointing out the hypocricy of liberal Democrats for using race at every turn.

It's just that in my hierarchy of needs, I prefer pacificism over social equity.

One could make a very legitimate argument that the latter will lead to the former. It's just that putting the guns down gets us there a bit quicker.

Fix the economy and reasons for war diminish.

That would necessitate sprinkling a bit of socialism spice into the capital pot.
