We usually end up with more tomatoes than we need.
Now I'm looking forward to early August.
Toasted rye bread, mayo and fresh off the vine tomatoes.
Yum!
I harvest tomatoes right up to the end of October, and then I pick the green ones, just before the first frost hits. We then ripen them in the window and they're still no worse than what the supermarket is offering. This past year, and a few previous ones, We had grape cluster mini tomatoes from my garden on Christmas Day.

Northern Ontario,
This is the worst year for snow that I have seen in a long time....
That new bigger snowblower that I bought this year sure came in handy......

Let's hope March sets some new records and then it all melts in a few weeks.

If you bought it 'this year' that is called 'catching up' rather than you have any 'foresight'. Nice try though.

I can't speak for Calgary or Toronto, but we have no issue growing tomato's in Regina as long as it's my girlfriend growing them and not me. We don't have a garden but when she wants something I build it (like garden boxes) and then I'm done, and then growing it is her thing.

This is the last one I put together last summer.

Just think of the fun you are missing out on...……………..thinning, watering, pulling weeds! :) :)

My Girlfriend got a new hip last February & she gets the other one replaced next month, then a back surgery after that. She's into gardening so I built garden boxes that she can reach from a stool when needed. I don't garden but I get to drag home the lumber and build them and haul home the topsoil and haul home a couple thousand pounds of pea-rock each year. Gardening isn't my thing. I'll help with what she's not able to do, but then I'm done.

Maybe, you can get her to grow something "special" for you.

I don't live in a "Low rental" where they clean the driveway for you like you do
I have owned my own house for thirty three year.
Enjoy the mold in your basement....
