More than 50 fairs across Ontario this fall

Magic performances, goat shows, Celtic music and swordplay — those are just some of the activities available at more than 50 fairs across Ontario this fall.

Attractions range from agriculture and antiques to crafts and carnival games.

Here is a list of what visitors can expect and the fairs’ locations and dates:

A magic show and a country singing showdown at the Kingston Fall Fair which ends Sunday, Sept. 14.

A miniature horse show, a corn husking competition and a parade at the Binbrook Fair in Hamilton until Sept. 14.

Displays of flowers, vegetables, grain crops and children's school exhibits at the Brussels Fall Fair in Huron County, Sept. 16-17.

A dog show and goat show and a harvest tea room at the New Liskeard Fall Fair on the shores of Lake Temiskaming near the Quebec border, Sept. 18-21.

Celtic music, Irish dancing, magic, costumes and swordplay at the Royal Medieval Faire in Waterloo on Sept. 20.

A voyageur canoe ride, displays of antique cars and boats and a craft fair at the Lyndhurst Turkey Fair in Leeds from Sept. 20 to 21.

A tour on livestock, agriculture and dairy products and old-fashioned games at the 1860s Fall Fair in Morrisburg, Sept. 20-21.

A demolition derby and antique tractor, horse and pony pulls at the Roseneath Fall Fair in Northumberland County, from Sept. 26 to 28.

A classic car and hot rod show and a sheep show at the Metcalfe Fair just south of Ottawa from Oct. 2-5.

Displays of Belgian horses at Ontario's oldest agricultural fair at the Norfolk Fair and Horse Show in Simcoe, Oct.7-13.

A horseshoe pitching tournament and farm animal display at the Elmvale Fall Fair in Simcoe County, Oct. 9-11.

A giant hay maze and a cake auction at the Erin Fall Fair in Wellington County, Oct. 10-13.

The largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international equestrian competition in the world, complete with animal theatre, children's activities and chef competitions are featured at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto from Nov. 7 to 16.

A 19th century Christmas market and a bonfire at Fort York's Frost Fair in Toronto from Dec. 6-9.
