Try again, Jimmy. The excuse they used was that it wasn't backed by the UN. The UN didn't back it because the US kept shutting everything down because Georgie know feckin' well that he's a war criminal.

Rev, your argument is very weak. If the world really wanted to do something about Dafur, it would.

If the world is so much more righteous than they will find a way.

Even Europe wouldn't do anything about the bloodshed in 1991 in Croatia, then Slovenia. It was only until Bosnia late in President Clinton's administration that led a complacent Europe into the intervention.

Will Europe let another genocide go on ?

You bet it will.

Their hard won benefits are much more important.

I understand that you think we are actively discouraging anybody else from going into Sudan's Dafur, but your premise is false and misleading and ultimately the world doesn't really have the stomach for it, to do what it takes. If the Germans flew in there tommorrow, no one could or would stop them.

Certainly least of all Sudan.

And there is a lot more bureacratic politics in many of the world's agencies that defy a quick rush to judgement until you go through the labrynth of red tape and excuses preventing such intervention.

There's some serious game playing and hypocritical jockeying going on all areas of the globe on this matter of Dafur.

Your single source enmity is making you miss the rest.

What single source would that be, Jimmy? You mean the statements your president makes? You mean the press releases from the Sudanese government? You mean what the Canadian government says? Do you mean the UN, HRW, AI, and RSF?

Which single source is giveing you the problem here, Jimmy?

The fact is that most of the world wants to work through multi-lateral institutions and your government is undermining those institutions. That's not a false premise, that's John Bolton's fecking job.

I guess Fox didn't cover this story though.
