Have they started shuttering the doors of those affected in your community yet ?
For me there's two issues - one, that Trump is claiming "only 15 people are affected" which is BS and thus lying to the entire US about the possible severity of this virus, and two, that because of his lies, people won't take it as seriously as they should, which will not only affect the US, but the rest of the world too, because obviously this dipshyte does not understand how virus's work.
And Pence doesn't get science at all.
Throw that in with the fact not everyone can afford to be checked for the virus, so some will die because it wasn't confirmed, and some will die because those unconfirmed people spread it before they died...
It's pretty effin' sad when China and other nations in the world have more on the goddamn ball than the US does.
Also saw him in a couple of his press conferences... and he's falling asleep as he's standing there when others speak. If you watch his eyes and face he is just barely keeping awake.

He is trying to minimize the situation............almost as if to reassure himself on some level. He does not seem interested in it .........not sexy enough for him. .........If he minimizes it........the population will too. .......because they want to. The facts can be harsh........
That is not to say one should go crazy hysterical about it. But a level of practical commonsense with information gathering would seem to be in order.
He seems to live in a fact less alternate reality where he plays the "hero" His articulation skills are sub standard............ and nonexistent.Sadly he does not INFORM.........he just spins things to favor his achievements...and himself .This is when people need accurate information............presented matter of factly.........so as not to create excessive fear.
