Now we condemn it, in 10 to 15 years we will be selling them enrichment technology.. Look at the Indian/Canadian nuclear relations since India tested its first nuclear bomb, first we hated them now we trade and sell technology to them

Iran's space program:

Iran to Launch New Measurement Satellite into Orbit
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran announced that it plans to send a home-made measurement satellite into orbit in the near future.

"Iran's measurement satellite will be launched into space from an Iranian launch-pad and will have an Iranian exchange station and control station," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday in a ceremony to mark the 'National Youth Day' in Iran.

Ahmadinejad further noted Iran's plans for sending astronauts into space in 2024, and said that the issue has gone under a second study at a recent cabinet meeting and that the cabinet has decided to implement the plan in 2019, five years earlier than the date envisaged in the original plan.

Iran has recently taken wide strides in aerospace. The country sent the first biocapsule of living creatures into space in February, using its home-made Kavoshgar-3 (Explorer-3) carrier.

Omid (hope) was Iran's first research satellite that was designed for gathering information and testing equipment. After orbiting for three months, Omid successfully completed its mission without any problems. It completed more than 700 orbits over seven weeks and reentered the earth's atmosphere on April 25, 2009.

After launching Omid, Tehran unveiled three new satellites called Tolou, Mesbah II and Navid, respectively. Iran has also unveiled its latest achievements in designing and producing satellite carriers very recently.

Also, Iran has recently unveiled a new generation of home-made satellites and a new satellite carrier called Simorgh (Phoenix).

The milk-bottle shaped rocket is equipped to carry a 60-kilogram (132-pound) satellite 500 kilometers (310 miles) into orbit.

The 27-meter (90 foot) tall multi-stage rocket weighs 85 tons and its liquid fuel propulsion system has a thrust of up to 143 tons.

Iran is one of the 24 founding members of the United Nations' Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS), which was set up in 1959.

I suspect hate is much too strong a word. Canada did protest India's use of a Canadian supplied Candu reactor to create a nuclear device, but that was about as far as it went.

A milestone event:

The Hindu : News / International : Iran starts loading fuel in 1st N-plant
...
Iranian and Russian engineers have begun loading fuel into Iran's first nuclear power plant in Bushehr — a move that Tehran has described as historic and a reflection of the country's steadfastness and perseverance.
"Despite all the pressures, sanctions and hardships imposed by Western nations, we are now witnessing the start-up of the largest symbol of Iran's peaceful nuclear activities," Iran's atomic energy head, Ali Akbar Salehi said at a press conference on Saturday.
Russia has partnered Iran in finishing the plant which will have a 1,000 MW power generation capacity. The facility does not pose a proliferation risk as it has been placed under the watch of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Russia will take away all the spent fuel generated by the plant so that the material cannot be used for making atomic weapons. Spent fuel contains plutonium, which can be used for making nuclear weapons.
"I thank the Russian government and nation, which cooperated with the great Iranian nation and registered their name in Islamic Iran's golden history," Mr. Salehi said. "Today is a historic day and will be remembered in history."...

Iran's Bushehr plant 'not a proliferation risk' - Nuclear Weapons Information
"Bushehr is not a proliferation risk as long as it is run to produce power for electricity generation," said Mark Fitzpatrick, an expert in non-proliferation at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London.
"It would be a risk if Iran operated it differently, i.e. for short periods at low-burn up in order to produce weapons-usable plutonium -- but in this case the IAEA would know," the expert said, referring to the UN atomic watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Ahmadinejad inaugurates Iran's first unmanned bomber aircraft

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday inaugurated the country's first domestically built unmanned bomber aircraft, calling it an "ambassador of death" to Iran's enemies.

And yet the world sits back and watches again.

Israel said Saturday the fueling of Iran's first nuclear reactor was "totally unacceptable" and urged greater world pressure to force Tehran to cease any uranium enrichment.
"It is totally unacceptable that a country that so blatantly violates (international treaties) should enjoy the fruits of using nuclear energy," Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yossi Levy said in a statement.

Iran's known nuclear program is IAEA inspected and NPT compliant, unlike Israel's unknown nuclear program which is not IAEA inspected and likely not NPT compliant.

I support holding all countries to the same standard.

YJ little bit harsh. I'm sure Obama would like to see Israel and the Jewish Lobby just go way but not necessarily that way. Doesn't he want them to be quiet little complant servitors to his world view, accept & aquiesse to the existing Palestinian & Arab position regarding their homeland? Guess what that isn't going to happen. Lets see him deal with the two sides over the few weeks, his hair might be totally white by the end of it. If there is one way to make him a single term president this maybe it.

There are the idiots here to whom a news story reported by FOX is nothing but a reason to express their stupidity by either abbreviations or images, while the same story reported by anyone else is the Bible truth.

Pity, but predictable.

Get used to it YJ, that's what they do when they can't formulate a reasoned rebuttal, or thought. It kind of reminds me of that old saying "A fool has to say something".

If you watch closely, you can see a small cadre of them that do it all the time.

The real funny thing is, they all seem to have the same ideology and/or pet topics.

You mentally inept individuals can continue reading your FOXnews
Still to much of a challenge for you, eh cubby?

Why is the problem Faux News?

I read the same story at Aljizzeara, I even compared it to Faux. The same story pretty much, a little different spin, but the base facts were there.

Oh, I get it, you use opinion, Op/Ed pieces and other peoples conclusions to debate, so you're projecting. Gotchya, good to know.

I was struck by how closely in appearance the drone resembled the German V1 "Buzzbomb" of World War II. If this weapon has the same degree of accuracy it will be no more than a terrorist weapon. Anyone know anything about its capabilities?

Accidents do happen, especially when one plays around with bombs/bombers.
