Yup .....some seem to feel being dead is better than being in debt. Spending money on creating jobs and those who actually pay the bills seems to me a better solution.
Do own your own home? If so, did you pay for it right up front after saving many years, or did you take out a mortgage. The Liberals have over the years since confederation spent momey on the programs that give back. We do not need the best armed forces in the world just enough to support the disputes that coincide with the beliefs of the majority of Canadians.
We bought ours outright and renovated.

I was Not picking on Harper personally but on his beliefs and actions with which he attempted to control not just the lives of Canadian women but most of the world's poorest ones. There is no doubt he probably did destroy lives when he cut off Canada's funding for contraception to the UN His personal religious beliefs have no place when acting for Canadians.
Actually we had a mortgage and what we bought for 30,000, is now worth close to 400,000. and we were able to put three children through college pay for two farms. We actually had several weeks holidays every year because we were able to pay for a herdsman to milk our herd of cows. We ended up with 3 farms worth very much more than the house.
So, think of all those people we helped put to work by making those decisions.
So giving money to a UN Agency that supports birth control for women worldwide is a good reason to accumulate debt , but living up to our military commitments and signed international agreements is not ?
