Ontario's Cancellation Of Renewable Energy Projects Cost First Nations Jobs, Investment
Curve Lake First Nation had a 15 per cent stake in two multi-million dollar projects.

First Nations were left "high and dry" when Ontario's new government decided to cancel renewable energy projects, the province's environmental commissioner said Tuesday.
First Nation communities had equity stakes in eight of ten major projects that were cancelled, commissioner Dianne Saxe said in a report.
(In other words natives are pissed that their opportunity to jump on the shameless mouldy green LIE-beral electricity scam has been derailed by the province having gone bankrupt! A steady stream of deliberate Fake News by Wynne-bag LIE-berals to intended to HIDE the fiscal truth is proof of that bankrupt status- as is the revelation that Bond rating services would have seriously down graded Ontari-owe credit rating if LIE-berals had been re-elected!)
"Reconciliation is a very important mandate for all of us," Saxe told reporters. "These green energy projects were part of that. And nothing seems to be offered in their place."
(Reconciliation is one thing- relentless economy destroying price gouging is quite another thing!)
Curve Lake First Nation lost its 15 per cent stake in two multimillion-dollar hydro projects that would have provided dozens of jobs and a stable stream of revenue to the community of 2,700, the report said. Thousands of hours of work and $1.5 million had already been invested in the hydro projects.
(And what were those “hydro projects”? More costly mouldy green garbage of the sort that got Lie-berals thrown out of office in the first place? Or is this a reference to the now cancelled LIE-beral plan to SELL portions of our electricity generating system to dead broke natives- who would first need govt to LOAN them the money to buy in and then would need govt financed training to manage whatever resources govt GAVE them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Ontario's new Progressive Conservative government announced they'd cancel more than 750 renewable energy projects in July. Energy Minister Greg Rickford said in a press release that the move will collectively save residents $790 million on their hydro bills.

"The affected waterpower projects are scheduled to come online just when the province will face a shortage of electricity," Paul Norris, president of the Ontario Waterpower Association, said in a press release.
(If waterpower is so essential to Ontari-owe then WHY were LIE-berals routinely DUMPING water power to make room for their costly wind power?????????)
"Made in Ontario waterpower is the backbone of a reliable, affordable electricity system and is strongly supported by the Ontario public."
Zac McCue, a Curve Lake member who helped develop the cancelled hydro projects, is quoted in Saxe's report.
"It is incredibly short-sighted and backwards looking in terms of reconciliation and local economic opportunities," he said, "not to mention reducing our emissions."
(And this is also an example of how TANGLED is any story related to electrical generation in Ontari-owe! Wynne-BAG LIE-berals have been excoriated for “dumping water: - meaning that at various times of the year we have such a SURPLUS of electricity, there is need to substantially CUT BACK on electricity production! And the fact is that SHUTTING OFF hydro power stations is the easiest and cheapest way to cut production in a matter of minutes- as LIE-berals routinely proved!)
(If we need more electricity, then why are LIE-berals so often SHUTTING DOWN water powered generators and why are they so often SELLING masses of mouldy green wind and solar power to Yankees at WELL BELOW PRODUCTION COST??)
