How, exactly? Keeping in mind that discrimination is not illegal. Only discrimination on certain, specified grounds is illegal.

The laws are not the same in Canada as the US so it gets somewhat hard to compare. Also depends on union rules. Discrimination of any kind is illegal in Canada. So if a person with no arms applied for a job as a labourer you couldn't outright say no to them just because they have no arms. But you could say no on the grounds that you believe they are not physically capable of doing the job.

Nonsense. Limiting medical positions to M.D.s is discrimination. Limiting jobs to people who are of age is discrimination. Not allowing blind people to drive is discrimination. Limiting Special Infantry to those who can pass the physical requirements is discrimination. Limiting goods and services to those who are able to pay is discrimination. Not allowing people in wheelchairs to be firefighters is discrimination.

Ah, so you DO discriminate. On the grounds of ability.
