It's the one that hasn't been changed umpteen times to be politically correct (and ensure nobody really knows the words)I like the French version.

What if we just like being here without feeling the need to celebrate a piece of fabric?
That can only be truly defined on a situational basis. People will naturally adapt as they have in the past 30 years - where pride gradually sounds less and less like some WWII propaganda advert.
I remember being marched onto the front yard of the school on February 15, 1965, so we could all see the Red Ensign being lowered and the Pearson Pennant unfurled.
Whatever he was, he was pretty damn patriotic.

Why is it so awful to be proud of where you're from? Why do people like you think it is important to ridicule (in a way) the people who like to show pride in their country?
Spoken like a true Utopian. My allegiance is to the land, the people and all the life that dwells thereon, not some corporate entity traded on the New York stock exchange. The Canadian government is nothing more than the board of directors of the corporation. I pledge no allegiance to fictitious entities or lines draw on a map by colonial powers that separate people and keep them separate by the use of political adversity. I believe in the sanctity and oneness of all life, not just human.
Is that intended as an insult? :lol:Spoken like a true Utopian.
No. It's just a term that represents your naivete. Is that intended as an insult?
Happy Flag Day to all of you from Gopherland!
Hitler was a socialist? or was he just a populist to gain power, like a lot of polititians have done in the past and continue to do....?
Hitler was a fascist, which is pretty much the exact opposite of socialism.
Hate to tell you this but shooting gophers is Canadian national pass time.
