More snivelling. Get a life.
Poor burned out Ember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if she was forbidden to use the words "wacko" and "snivelling"......................................
she would be reduced to virtual SILENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is an older article from Metroland newspapers illustrating the way Wynne-bag LIE-berals were weakening our education system and making life easier for teacher HOGS . With some comments of my own in brackets):
The Province is looking at the "de-streaming" of the high school curriculum for Grade 9 students and that would be a move in the right direction for the school
system, not to mention for 13- and 14-year-olds who don't necessarily know which academic path to follow when they begin high school.
"Streaming" involves students opting for ' "applied" or "academic" courses. An
academic course load is one required for entry into university, whereas applied courses would be more applicable to community college.
Students who opt into the applied stream in Grade 9 and 10 can have this affect their options for Grade 11 and 12 courses and in turn their eligibility for college and university
"Streaming" has been a source of contention within the Ontario education system as studies have suggested it negatively impacts black, low-income and marginalized students, who are over represented in the applied stream.
(Well yes - if you come to school with the idea that doing well in school represents “selling out” to white racists then yes- there will be POOR RESULTS shown by Black kids!! Kids who accept the word of LIE-berals that Canada is a country FULL OF SYSTEMIC RACISTS - will not work hard to fit in!! Which explains why there are so many violence prone gang bangers on our streets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
People for Education, an education advocacy group, has been sounding the alarm for years, saying taking just one applied course - math, in Grade 9 - gives teens next to no ; hope of going on to university.
(Unfortunately that group should BE MORE WORRIED about the number of kids - especially blacks and natives who do NOT graduate from high school!! That is a REALLY CRIPPLING FAILURE since over 75 percent of all jobs these days require some post secondary education!! Too bad the LIE-beral solution is only to DUMB DOWN the curriculum so EVERYBODY will be ignorant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
A recent report by research group Social ; Planning Toronto found many students and parents didn't understand the difference between applied and academic courses, and that students believed they could transfer from applied to academic courses later even though statistics show that rarely happens.
(People who are too ill educated to be aware of the academic requirements for becoming a carpenter versus an archeologist aint likely to HAVE archeologists in the family anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
The Durham District School Board recently launched a Grade 9 for All pilot project, which saw two schools - Brock High School
and Oshawa's Maxwell Heights Secondary School offer a mixed applied and academic Grade 9 math course as a pilot project this year. The board said the program might be : expanded for the 2018-2019 school year.
The DDSB pilot project is a proactive measure as the province is determined to over haul Grade 9 with an eye to eventually abolishing streaming. Education Minister Mitzie Hunter said separating students into university-bound academic-level classes versus the more hands on applied option is a concern because teens in applied courses are less likely to finish high school or go on to post-secondary education.
(Abolishing streaming means NOBODY gets a good education!! The dumb kids remain dumb and the smart kids are allowed to COAST THROUGH LIFE!! But what will happen to the Coasters once they get into the REAL WORLD and have to compete with seriously educated foreign born competitors??????????????????)
"We want to see Grade 9 as a year where students can explore their pathways and get excited about their pathways. We do not want it to be a year where students become de-motivated and disengaged in school; said Hunter.
(POOR STUPID LIE-berals!! TOO MANY KIDS are already “dis-engaged”!!
We agree. Slotting students into the pods ; of applied and academic courses in Grade 9 is regressive thinking; keeping students' options wide open in the early stages of high school is the best course.
(PRIOR to arriving in Grade 9 - the kids had EIGHT YEARS in which to prove their scholarly abilities and the ones with good motivation and parental support DID MOVE AHEAD of peers holding CRAP attitudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(LIE-berals are prepared to NEUTER our entire education system to cater to the already compromised egos of certain under performing pressure groups - who are LOOKING FOR EXCUSES AND seeking OTHERS TO BLAME for their personal issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(In a world were education is critical - our LIE-berals want to dispense with the kind of academic excellence that can produce productive and skilled students who will help build a MODERN ECONOMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(LIE-berals want to create a very costly day care system whose primary goal is to INDOCTRINATE kids who don’t have the skills to argue back and whose parents are too busy paying taxes to notice what is being done to their kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(LIE-berals have put their own drive for power and their need to indoctrinate kids AHEAD of the need for our kids to get the skills required to GET AND TO HOLD GOOD JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!)
(As I have said before - LIE-berals believe an unskilled and ill educated population is easier both to control and to BUY votes from - and of course LIE-berals are quite prepared to cater to a discontented anti white minority for the sake of buying more votes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
In other news as supplied by Marni Soupcoff from National Post, published January 29, 2020 -we get this:
Promoting equality by tearing down what works is a terrible idea. It is awkward because these solutions involve punishing deserving people — some of them minorities themselves — to achieve inclusivity
In Seattle, the public-school system is taking apart a popular gifted program for elementary and middle school students because white and Asian students are disproportionately represented in the initiative.
(Oh dear me - how can society survive if it has a pack of highly educated young people who are white or Asian to turn to for scientific theory, economic ideas or medical aid?? LIE-berals DO NOT want have to answer logical science based questions about their climate hysteria or their gravy grabbing carbon tax scam that only cleans cash from wallets and leaves the dirt in the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(LIE-berals PREFER a dumb and passive society that does not QUESTION!!!!!!!!)
The concerned activists seeking to reduce discrimination, bias and inequality in society have often weakened their righteous cases by focusing on taking things away from the “haves” rather than on expanding opportunities for the “have nots” and good examples of the phenomenon abound this month.
In Seattle, the public school system is taking apart a popular gifted program for elementary and middle school students because white and Asian students are disproportionately represented in the initiative.
At Yale, the art department is removing a well-liked introductory course on art history from the syllabus because it focuses on Western art, which is male and white.
In the entertainment world, Melissa Silverstein, the founder and publisher of the Women and Hollywood website, has suggested that the British Academy of Film and Television Arts address the lack of diversity in its awards nominations by giving no award at all when a category’s shortlist isn’t sufficiently varied in terms of race and gender.
If translated to the Academy Awards, this idea would have meant no best director Oscar this year because the nominees are all men.
It is awkward because these solutions involve punishing deserving people — some of them minorities themselves — to achieve inclusivity. Do we really have to eliminate the possibility of Bong Joon-ho, an Asian man, becoming the first Korean to win an Oscar in order to make up for the fact that fantastic female directors Greta Gerwig and Lulu Wang didn’t get a nod from the academy?
The situation in Seattle illustrates the point with more serious real-world consequences: Gerwig and Wang will get by just fine even if they don’t have gold statuettes bestowed upon them - as I suspect they’d be the first to admit - but kids who don’t get an adequate education can lose their chance at a productive and satisfying life.
(LIE-berals are POISONING the minds and blighting the futures of kids from various ethnic groups with all the “systemic racist white society” CRAP being fed to kids!)
In a piece for The Stranger, staff writer Katie Herzog noted that at a recent Seattle school board meeting, “many of the parents who voiced their support of (the gifted program) were brown or black,” with one father explaining that the “program does more for black children, particularly black boys, than it does for their peers.”
(Being able to point to a history of academic excellence NEVER HURT ANY job applicant - no matter the race or colour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Herzog said over the past few months, she’s spoken to minority parents of kids in the Seattle gifted program and many of them say the same thing. “Their kids aren’t identified as academically gifted by their teachers, they get bored in the general ed classroom, and then end up being tagged as disruptive when what they need is just accelerated curriculum,” she wrote.
The 'program does more for black children, particularly black boys, than it does for their peers'
So, rather than take the advantage away from these minorities — as well as the white and Asian students who benefit from the accelerated curriculum — why not focus on extending the advantage to more minorities who could use it? This is what the parents Herzog spoke with are suggesting, proposing such initiatives as universal testing and testing on weekends to determine which students qualify for the program.
(Our society NEEDS clever, innovative and highly skilled people - and THEY need warehouse staff, delivery drivers, machine operators and accountants - the smartest people in the room tend to make work for the lesser achievers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
As Herzog summed up, “These parents are highly aware of the racial disparities in the program, but unlike the school board, they want to fix the cohort model, not end it.” Maybe the worst part is that Seattle School Board director Chandra Hampson dismissed the minority parents’ concerns out of hand, accusing them of being “tokenized” by white parents, as though they couldn’t possibly have come to their conclusions on their own.
(The REAL IRONY is that minority parents often realize that THEY ARE PART of white society - since they and their kids were BORN HERE - and they are NOT JUST VISITING like tourists!! Becoming part of high achieving main stream education means becoming an integral part of our society!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
It is rarely the case that a disparity can only be addressed by lowering the ceiling; oftentimes it is just as effective to let more people in the building. “Educational opportunity isn’t a capped resource (at least it doesn’t have to be),” columnist Danny Westneat wrote in The Seattle Times. For example, in the Seattle gifted program, “there aren’t a fixed number of slots, like in, say, admission to a selective college. So one kid getting in has no effect on another kid’s chances.”
(OMG - gifted programs are open ended and available to anybody willing to do the work and be recognized for skill and diligence!! How AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
