Why is a hypocrite for not wanting a water tower with truck traffic? They can build a pump house for cheaper closer to the gas play.

Overhead truck fills are cheaper. He's a hypocrite because his company does exactly what he is fighting against. I'm surprised somebody has to explain that to you

The water trucks will go away when the frakking is done but the ugly tower will stay.

Development is part of life, the problem is not development its how things are
developed. The problem is made worse by two opposing sides with their own
vision and version of ultimate truth and that confuses the real truth that gets lost
in the shuffle.. It would be nice to have some sort of nation supervised debate
so all Canadians could see the real picture.
At some point someone has to be accountable for the truth but I'm not holding
my breath.

They're not blood brothers but they're close. Russian strongman, Vlad Putin, and Trump's choice for Secretary of State, Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson, have been buddies for a while.

If Tillerson can get Trump to lift US sanctions against Russia, it could be gravy train time, Arctic style, for Exxon Mobil (link is external).

Exxon Mobil (link is external) stands to regain access to huge reserves of oil if the United States rolls back sanctions on Russia.U.S. sanctions on Russia have prevented Exxon Mobil from exploring assets covering 63.6 million acres. The prospect of rapprochement between the U.S. and Russia remains speculative, but both President-elect Donald Trump (link is external) and Russian President Vladimir Putin (link is external) have said they want to improve relations. The two countries' relationship fell apart after Russia took Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 and then intervened in civil wars in Ukraine and Syria.

Tillerson has criticized U.S. sanctions on Russia and was awarded Russia's Order of Friendship by Putin in 2013. To be sure, as Exxon's chief executive, Tillerson's priority has been to his shareholders, and he has sought to protect the company's substantial interests in Russia.

Exxon's operations in Russia (link is external) represent only a fraction of its global oil and gas production, but a joint venture with Russian state-controlled oil giant Rosneft (link is external) to explore and produce fossil fuels in Arctic waters represents a big part of Exxon's potential future production growth

If Trump isn't impeached right off the hop, he will be the sitting President when ownership of the Arctic Ocean basin areas is decided. I wonder if he will side with his Russian friend's claims over those of Canada? Anything is possible under this wingnut.
