I suppose your perspective would be influenced by where you live in the US, In the redneck gun toting isolationist protectionist sections of the country an observer would take the community pulse and find that the man was well favored to win the position. Would be different in other areas where people might go to the library now and then. but you don't know. The mans xenophobic performance seems to be popular these days with the reactionaries of the country. I think he would have done well in any fascist state in history.
