Hopefully this will encourage a higher birth rate in Canada.

I'm all for anything that will reduce our immigration numbers, it's time we grew our own.

I agree. My great grandparents didn't travel 6000 miles across the ocean to come here and see this place be overrun by immigrants

The income splitting was supposed to help families. Not just some of them.

As long as one of the income earners makes above the poverty level cut-off, it can potentially help.

For single parents, the deal doesn't apply regardless of your income

Many of you seem to think that its unfair that the wealthier pay higher tax rates, but you seem to find little fault in a "family support program" that mainly benefits the well to do.

Stop the whining already.. You refuse to acknowledge the myriad of programs and bennies offered to the low income families and focus exclusively on this one issue.

Until everyone is on the same, level playing field regardless of income, think twice about using the words 'equality' or 'fairness'

So, if the program is advertised to help Canadian families, and it doesn't, three possibilities exist, A, the present government is a bunch of liars, B, the present government is incompetent, or C, low income families are not Canadian citizens. Oh and if your a reformist, you can pick D.

Nice.

Got any more conspiracy theories to float your 'I hate Harper regardless of what he does' agenda?

Unlike yourself as a strong socialist/Liberal supporter....

Stop being so silly. True conservatives like myself can't possibly be happy with the record of the Conservative government. I think it's clear who the fiscal conservative is here and it's the one that doesn't like (nor makes excuses for) years of deficit spending.

Oh, so that's where your hypocrisy got started! It runs in the family.:):):):)

Does your silliness know no bounds?
