Carl's Jr. coming to Calgary
Reason enough to live in Calgary
A U.S. fast-food chain known for its gut-busting burger creations and racy commercials featuring scantily clad women eating them is set to start serving up Calgary customers.
Carl’s Jr. is opening up shop next month, according to a call for employees the restaurant posted. The fast food spot has taken over the space at 1140 16th Ave. NW.
With their signature (and registered trademark) thickburgers — in sizes up to 1/2 a pound — and fried side dishes, Carl’s Jr. has made a name for itself when it comes to their creations. They’re also well known for their, well, titillating advertisements that have featured celebrities such as Kate Upton and Paris Hilton dressed in bathing suits eating burgers (or, in the case of one recent ad, clad in nothing at all. Yes, that link may be considered NSFW).
The chain has 16 locations in Canada, many of them in B.C.’s Okanagan and Lower Mainland, as well as in Edmonton, Spruce Grove and Grande Prairie.
