Capitalist and socialist 'systems' have consequences both desirable and undesirable for the individuals they affect. Sadly most people are unwilling to admit this, but make a religion of a single ideology - particularly if they are personally advantaged by it.
In both systems the more you personally put in, the more you get out. There will always be those who rise above and have more.

In a Capitalist system man screws man. In a socialist system, its the opposite.

So what you are saying is that StatsCan can't assess avergae wages. Interesting.
That is probably true. The other problem they being desk bound, is that they don't know how to properly classify jobs.Running a 2000 lb forklift around in a warehouse does not make one a heavy equipment operator.

I bet they were extrapolating from income taxes.
Probably. But that does not give any job description. If you look on the government job board they classify someone running a punch press in a factory as an equipment operator. That would be like taking Les's pay as a career firefighter and what I make as a volunteer and saying that firefighters average $11/hr.

The tax rate would be, yes but the job description shows as the same. It is all about how the office people chose to interpret the information they are given. But my tax return shows me an equipment operator so what little I make as a volunteer firefighter would skew the wages to a lower rate if they had any idea of hours worked.

The places I work everyone makes $100 000 +. That is my version of regular.

Here's some food for thought TS for everyone of us making this kind of money we are paying for 1 civil servant's wages with our Income tax. Most of these civil servants are trying to work against what we would like to use our money for, to benefit those that don't pay taxes.

Just sayin

I view it as supporting three welfare families.
