( yes, it is also called "venison" Moose are big deer ... the biggest deer, in fact)
Had this happen to a bunch of trucks (including mine) this spring,
but with horses instead of a moose. I got off lucky with my truck
being just a 1/4 ton (smaller scale so lined up wrong as a scratching
post) so it was just a convenient salt lick.
Many others lost their mirrors, etc....
Must need salt.

Part of the deer family. I assume it was a steak, I prefer moose in a chili rather than chewing it off a bone. I always howled like a wolf after a deer steak, damnest thing I ever saw.
Better that you both remain alive. Go and get some Bison, your taste buds will thank you.
