More than half of the anti-Trump protesters arrested in Portland didn’t vote, according to state election records.
At least seventy demonstrators either didn’t turn in a ballot or weren’t registered to vote.
KGW compiled a list of the 112 people arrested by the Portland Police Bureau during recent protests. Those names and ages, provided by police, were then compared to state voter logs by Multnomah County Elections officials.
Records show 35 of the protesters arrested didn’t return a ballot for the November 8 election. Thirty-five of the demonstrators taken into custody weren’t registered to vote.
Twenty-five protesters who were arrested did vote.
KGW is still working to verify voting records for the remaining 17 protesters who were arrested.

Monday, Obama said the race made one thing clear for both parties -- getting out the vote is critical.
"Hopefully it's a reminder that elections matter. Voting counts," he said. "I don't know how many times we have to relearn this lesson, because we ended up having 43 percent of the country not voting."

Anti-Trump protester tackled while giving speech in Union
“We protect First Amendment rights actively, but we do not under any circumstances tolerate intimidation or threats to students, faculty, staff or visitors to our campus,” said University President Michael Drake in one such email sent on Saturday evening.
The student who tackled Adams, Shane Michael Stanton, was arrested and placed under indefinite suspension from Ohio State, said Gerard Basalla, Undergraduate Student Government president and a fourth-year in political science and strategic communication.
“The assault that occurred — that’s what it was — in the Union tonight is completely unacceptable,” Basalla told The Lantern. “Every person on this campus has the right to feel safe and voice their opinion without fearing harm. We can’t be having this.”
