Years ago the annual Kelowna Regatta was the biggest event (drunk) and it was fun, but eventually the A$$holes weren't satisfied with just getting drunk, but had to get in peoples' faces, destroy property, make a noise etc. until about 20 years ago when they cancelled it permanently.

And many people would dispute your claims of the Cabot Trail being terrible, including Billy Connolly who drove it during his "Journey to the Edge of the World" series, among many others.
