BC Liberals and NDP are apparently neck-and-neck.

ummmm....no. one province in the Dominion. Every Province is a hell of a lot more than it's politics. If it was all about the politics, then I would consider Alberta a shyte hole and wouldn't be living here.

eh, I wasn't talking about politically.. although I don't have an issue with our provincial government, nevertheless will vote Wild Rose next election. ;-)

A family can get further ahead in Alberta vs the rest of Canada, good wages, low taxes overall, great Health Care that is FREE, and so on. Also Alberta has an extremely stable geology, no volcanoes exploding, no earthquakes, no recurring hurricanes every year. Yes it does snow, but it not nearly as much as in a lot of other places around the world, and we get Chinooks...

ENTERTAINMENT

  • 2 NHL hockey teams (Edmonton Oilers & Calgary Flames)
  • 2 CFL football teams (Edmonton Eskimos & Calgary Stampeders)
  • 280 golf courses
  • a huge number of festivals across the entire province (Calgary Stampede)
  • some of the best mountain resorts for skiing and snowboarding in the world
  • biggest shopping mall in North America
  • archaeological expeditions in the badlands, home of the dinosaurs

HEALTH & LIFESTYLE

  • free health care
  • no rats (only place in North America)
  • some of the best beef in the entire world comes from Alberta
  • has world renowned and highly recognized universities and colleges
  • has a vibrant arts scene, and a beautiful brand-new art gallery in Edmonton
  • safe communities with a superior quality of life and diverse culture

ECONOMICS

  • real estate is still relatively cheap
  • no provincial sales tax, payroll tax, machinery tax or equipment tax
  • flat income tax of 10%
  • jobs, and lots of them, over 440,000 new jobs were created in Alberta between 1999 and 2009
  • has the highest Gross Domestic Product growth rate in Canada

If the NDP win this election our province will be in the proverbial toilet for the next four years....if not more.

Most polling demonstrates the distance is between 7 and 9 percent and the NDP is
ahead. In addition in the lower mainland it is much higher and that is where the votes
are. Rich Coleman can say what he wants the Liberals are not going to win this election.
In addition Chriti is behind in her own riding

It's good to be ahead in popularity, but it's better if you are ahead in intellect and honesty! -:)

BTW JLM, Wacky sold this province out. He may have built infrastructure but he paid for it by selling our resources to foreign interests. He also sold out the Columbia River to the Yanks and screwed just about everybody who lived here. He sold out almost all the small forestry operators by giving big corporations sole access to our forests. No, Wacky was a schmuck of epic proportions.

Face it things are bad for the Liberals apparently they have put an ad in the Times Colonist
asking people to vote Green if they are not voting Liberal, Friday apparently Saturday the
NDP answered saying they still believe in their platform.
This is like asking coca cola drinkers to switch to Mountain Dew.
Most media outlets accept the number 9% when all is said and done.
The gap will get larger as the undecideds won't likely go Liberal now they have waited too long.
As for principals the Liberals lied about the budget and almost everything else.
They have spent time and money knocking others and they are short on running on their record.
The record is they doubled the red ink in twelve years. In addition Christi has overspent by
nearly 11 billion in two years.
Governments and political happenings are like a living thing. What they were ten years ago and
today two different things. An election is never a sure thing but I wouldn't vote against Dix at
this point. I have some issues with both, but the day Christi Clarke took over the end of the
Liberal reign was in site. 801 has already started that is the dump Christi has started

As much as we love living here in the Kootenays, if the Dippers get in and there's even a hint that they'll pull the same crap as the other Dipper gov'ts did (tax and spend, pull scams and scandals, kill industries, cuddle up to unions and alienate BCers, etc.), we may seriously think about selling and moving out. Maybe NZ or Tassie.
Anyone but the Dippers or wackos like the Dippers..

They could also basically shut down any mining activity in the province as happened under the previous ndp government. The province lost millions of dollars in revenue during that time and many skilled workers. Saskatchewan would definitely be calling me home if the ndp win.

BC Liberals Suck: Olympic-Sized BC Liberal Recipe for Poverty & Homelessness

Non Democratic parasites are a good party for you freeloaders that don't mind destroying the economy and making your grand children pay for your greed today. Those of us that take pride in working for a living, contributing to society and like a fiscally responsible government will vote Liberal. Tricky Dix has promised to destroy nall the union construction work in BC to keep the city socialists and greenies happy.

I think the N.D.P. will probably win this election, albeit not through sensible reasoning. Now I'm wondering what their first major statement is going to be post election. My first guess would be in about 30 days.........."it's going to be tough and may take a little longer to fulfill our promises given the horrible financial mess the Liberals have left for us" You may want to watch for that about mid June.-:)

I'd like to see the polls tomorrow morning. I read that the difference between the two are within the margin of error, which means they're tied.

There is so much bullsh*t flying around these days- I wouldn't believe any of it until 8:05 pm election day.

Media uses the Angus Reid poll information. The last poll done came out Friday.
the result was a 7 to 9 percent lead for Dix.. The only way Christi could be neck
and neck at this point would be if her neck was in a political noose.
She is also facing a huge backlash within her own party. There is an 801 club some
Liberals in Summerland have been seen wearing 801 buttons. The 801 club is
believed to be the dump Christi group.

JLM don't want to ruffle too many feathers but Christi and company are the odd ones out
and they will be lucky to have low double digit figures in the seat column. Its the end of
the LIberals in this Province for a while
