Battle of Ontario fan fight video goes viral
By Chris Hofley, Ottawa Sun First posted: Monday, November 10, 2014 03:03 PM EST | Updated: Monday, November 10, 2014 03:31 PM EST
A video making the social media rounds Monday shows the ugly side of the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs rivalry.
Apparently shot at Sunday night’s game between the teams at Canadian Tire Centre — a makeup date after the original game was cancelled because of the shooting at the National War Memorial and Parliament — the clip, uploaded to Facebook, captures a dangerous brawl between opposing fans.
In the video, which lasts 1:02, a man in a Leafs jersey appears to be arguing with a woman in a Senators sweater. The man walks up the stairs and looks to engage in more arguing with a man in a Senators jersey, with the woman continuing to be involved in the conversation.
As someone in the crowd yells “give him the Todd Bertuzzi,” the Sens fan appears to reach out towards the Leafs fan, who backs away before another man in a Leafs jersey appears, dumps a cup of beer on the Sens fan’s head and then runs in the opposite direction.
The first Leafs fan and the Sens fans then grab at each other before both men go flying down the stairs on the upper deck of the arena.
“Holy s—t”, one man yelled, while another says “oh yeah, he’s hurt.”
The video, uploaded by Sandy Cryptkeeper Chapman, had been shared on Facebook 690 times by 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The Senators have yet to comment on the incident.
More to come.

I think the Senators should be forced to forfeit every game for the rest of the season. No need for the Leafs to. They can earn their losses just by showing up.

Cripes people. It's a game. Nothing more. Hurting other people (or getting hurt) over something like this is just idiotic. More than likely alcohol-infused stupidity at work.
