do you ever really think her maj's canadian royal navy will side against the british royal navy and go along with Argentina if the matter ever arose?


come on.....as much as a lot of canadians hate to admit it, outside of england...not even in Aus or NZ, you will not find a more Anglophile country...they will not go against us, not that would ever happen.

We dont need our nuclear wepons to show Argentina that we mean business, sanctions will be enough. The occupiers have a right to be on those islands, and if they do something to change that, it would be a war crime and would have to be dealt with

But why would we need the Canadians to fight alongside us? They don't even have a proper military.

yes.....but...and here's the big but:

would a gung-ho US sit on the sidelines again while a country invades an island that is totally populated by foreign nationals.

The Falkland Islanders aren't populated by foreign nationals. They are populated by Falkland Islanders.

The British had the best fleet in the world, but the American navy is in it's current condition far better than the British fleet.

At least in terms of size, per capita, it's up in the air. The two haven't fought since 1812 so we'll never know.
