If it can kill, ban it. (Same reasoning as banning handguns).Knives don't kill, lack of blood does. Banning knives just makes spoon users of us all.

banning bus routes north of the 49th sounds best... oh oh I know tell them Knives on buses are illegal. Then they won't think about bording buses until they have deposited their knives at safe knife drop out locations
Ban knives!!!
The moment I hear of repeated situations of someone in Canada killing 5 or more people with a knife I might consider it.
If they're using it as police transport, there should be an escorting officer. That's not necessary with a "get outa Dodge" suggestion. Regardless, if the guy under suspicion - even for a moment - they should have patted him down. I see a bit of negligence on the OPP's part.I say we ban the practice of using Greyhound as police transport. Surely I can't be the only person who's seen this sort of thing happen?

I've seen RCMP put a person onto a Greyhound, and corresponding officers pick them up on the other end, no escort. Negligence doesn't even begin.
I don't think this is a copycat. The police dropped the ball on this one, putting the guy on the bus with a knife. Hard to believe.
I think there have been more than 5 people killed with knives. Banning them is good enough for me because I don't like people dying, especially nice ones. The moment I hear of repeated situations of someone in Canada killing 5 or more people with a knife I might consider it.
