1001 nights is a collection of stories: love stories, imagination and public stories. But it is only a story of imagination where the Sultan is surrounded by many virgins and non-virgins, and myths about genies and Afarit. It is translated to English:
One thousand and one nights or (The Arabian nights). It is very nice and gives much enjoyment.
But this is only a story or a collection of stories written in the Abbasied era.
The Quran does not include anything of that, as do some imagine. The Quran is the word of God Who does not allow any adultery or fornication.

قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاء أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
The explanation:
(Say [O Mohammed, to them]: "God never commands indecency; will you then say against God such things as you do not know?")
The virgins as wives of believers in Paradise: these are the righteous women of this Worldly life: they will be admitted to Paradise just like the righteous men (monotheists: do not associate anything or anyone with God.)

So these righteous women will be given in marriage to the righteous men in Paradise. And when a righteous man in this World is admitted to Paradise, and his wife is also a righteous woman and she is admitted to Paradise, she will be his wife in Paradise.
All souls will be young; no old man or woman is there in Paradise.

Their being virgins, is like men who will be uncircumcised in next spiritual life (unless he has been circumcised before his 40 days age; like Jews who circumcise on the eighth day of age: their souls will be uncircumcised.)
The spirit or soul will retain its foreskin of the male and the hymen of the female; so all women will be virgins, and all men will be uncircumcised.
The other kind will be the daughters of disbelievers: these daughters will go to Paradise: because they died very young and will become hoories for the people of Paradise.

اسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَأَنسَاهُمْ ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ حِزْبُ الشَّيْطَانِ أَلَا إِنَّ حِزْبَ الشَّيْطَانِ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ . إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحَادُّونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ أُوْلَئِكَ فِي الأَذَلِّينَ
