Consider the native family in the news a year back - a sewage pipe in the unheated crawl space under their govt supplied house had frozen and burst - thus whenever they had a bath or used the toilet - the waste water POOLED under the house- which produced an EYE WATERING STENCH that made meal times UN-ENJOYABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If such a thing had happened to a white family- the first thing they would have done is STOP FLUSHING THE TOILET- and used a 5 gallon pail instead - and disposed of the contents ELSEWHERE - like way off in the woods!!!!!!!!!!!!
A white family would also have taken to hanging out at the local rec centre - using their showers and washing facilities - while they waited for the mess under their house to either DRY UP OR FREEZE SOLID - at which point they would have REPAIRED THE PIPE and eliminated the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Trump administration marked this week’s 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution by declaring a National Day for the Victims of Communism. The New York Times marked the same anniversary in a different way: by running a series of articles extolling the virtues of communism.
(How sad that Soviet leaders in Russia and China alone have produced MORE dead victims of Soviet “Progress” than all the combined victims of both world wars! Over 55 million Communist Chinese dead and 20-30 million Russians for a communist execution toll of 85 million dead compared to the 70 million total for BOTH world wars! People speak in horror of the Nazi Holocaust in which 6 million Jews, 4 million Russians and a million people of other nationalities were murdered and yet socialists ignore the 8 million Ukrainians deliberately starved to dead by Stalin and the 3 million Cambodians murdered by Khymer Rouge Soviets- to name several of the major Soviet excesses- with many other murders by Soviets around the world that are lost or deliberately forgotten. Not only were Soviets working to massacre their own people, they were working hard to push us- by fear or open war- into their prisons as well!)
The irony of the series’ title, Red Century, seems lost on the Times’s editors. The 20th century was “red” indeed – red with the blood of communism’s victims. The death toll of communism, cited in The Black Book of Communism, is simply staggering: In the U.S.S.R., nearly 20 million dead; China, 65 million; Vietnam, 1 million; Cambodia, 2 million; Eastern Europe, 1 million; Africa, 1.7 million; Afghanistan, 1.5 million; North Korea: 2 million (and counting). In all, Communist regimes killed some 100 million people — roughly four times the number killed by the Nazis — making communism the most murderous ideology in human history.
Never mind all that. University of Pennsylvania professor Kristen Ghodsee writes that Communists had better sex: “Eastern women had twice as many orgasms as Western women . . . (who) had less sex, and less satisfying sex, than women who had to line up for toilet paper.”
(Good God! HOW could anybody really measure this orgasm stuff in any real way? We know how much cheating Soviets engaged in just to make their athletes LOOK superior! No doubt that same “ours are bigger and better” propaganda is a work here- to catch the credulous!)
She has tough words for Joseph Stalin because he “reversed much of the Soviet Union’s early progress in women’s rights – outlawing abortion and promoting the nuclear family.” Yes, that was Stalin’s crime. Not the purges, not the gulag, but promoting the nuclear family.
In How Did Women Fare in China’s Communist Revolution?, Helen Gao recalls her grandmother “talking with joyous peasants from the newly collectivized countryside” and writes that “for all its flaws, the Communist revolution taught Chinese women to dream big.” Mao’s revolution killed tens of millions of Chinese — not counting the millions killed under China’s brutal “One Child” policy, which led to widespread female infanticide. Those Chinese girls never got a chance to dream at all.
(Compared to what had come before- the early days of the Red Army and its revolution must have looked pretty good- one of the first acts Chinese Soviet acts was to teach ALL people to read- this was by many as a brave social advance! Its harder to cheat a person who can read the paperwork! Of course teaching them to read made it easier to disseminate Soviet propaganda and it meant Chinese soldiers could learn to operate heavy artillery- read maps and range finders and such to increase their fighting power against Japanese invaders and Kuomintang forces of Chiang Kai Shek.)
In Lenin’s Eco-Warriors, Yale lecturer Fred Strebeigh writes that Lenin was “a longtime enthusiast for hiking and camping” who turned Russia into “a global pioneer in conservation.” He fails to mention that Lenin was also a mass murderer who executed more of his political opponents in the first four months of his rule than the czars had in the entire previous century. In one telegram, reproduced in The Black Book of Communism, Lenin orders the Cheka (a predecessor of the KGB) to “Hang (I mean hang publicly, so that people see it) at least 100 kulaks, rich bastards, and known bloodsuckers.” (The telegram concludes with an eerie “P.S. Find tougher people.”) Maybe he was camping when he wrote it.
Berkeley professor Yuri Slezkine explains How to Parent Like a Bolshevik, noting that “At home, the children of the Bolsheviks read what they called the ‘treasures of world literature,’ with an emphasis on the Golden Ages analogous to their own” and that “Soviet readers were expected to learn from Dante, Shakespeare and Cervantes.” He does not say whether they were also expected to learn from Orwell. In another piece, Love Lives of Bolsheviks, he notes that for Russia’s Communists, “revolution was inseparable from love.” Except, of course, when the KGB arrived in the middle of the night to separate them from their loves by hauling them off to the gulag.
While all of the articles are not this bad, the series goes on. Vivian Gornick writes about When Communism Inspired Americans. Palash Krishna Mehrotra writes how “arrival of a Soviet Book Exhibition” made his Indian town “come alive.” John Sidel mourns the lost “promise of Muslim Communism.”
The Times series is in the tradition set by former Times Moscow bureau chief Walter Duranty, who wrote glowing reports on Stalin’s rule that included repeated denials of the mass starvation from Stalin’s engineered famine in Ukraine. “Any report of a famine in Russia is today an exaggeration or malignant propaganda,” he wrote, while millions starved to death. And besides, “You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.”
(IN his memoirs, Winston Churchill wrote aboput shipments of lumber- cut by slave labourers in Soviet gulags- the lumber being sold to Britain and containing fingers and toes that prisoners had lost through frostbite or accidents in the rotten working conditions designed to maim or kill. I have personally spoken to a Polish man who was about 8 years old in 1939- Nazis had invaded Poland and Soviets waited till the east side of Poland was empty of Polish solders- and grabbed the eastern half of the country. Red Army then rounded up many Polish citizens and shipped them off to Siberia- dumped them off in wilderness with some tools and seed and ordered them to build a town and plant crops- if they froze or starved along the way it did not matter. Once the town and fields were up and running Red Army came back and moved the Poles to start again- for 10 years- after which Soviets were bribed to release the surviving Poles into western hands. Many came to Canada- to get as far away from Soviets as they could.)
(And any socialist reading this stuff will immediately scorn it because a socialist is NOT a communist- so THEY SAY! A communist is simply a socialist in a hurry! The communist takes anti revolutionaries out and shoots or hangs them. The socialist simply leaves political opponents to starve to death in a handy ditch! One has only to look at the corruption in Venezuela to see the truth of this! Oil rich Venezuela is a charter member of the OPEC Oil cartel and yet staunchly socialist Venezuela is STARVING! Things got so bad that the govt gave up its own food rationing program run by socialist govt workers and cops and handed the job to the military. The half starved military began selling most of the food on the black market in order to make up for wages they would never be paid! Wide spread riots were the result and even Our idiot Boy Justin- that hard line socialist moron found himself in an argument with the Venezuelan govt!)

Now, after a century of slaughter, the Times is back at it, portraying communism as a noble cause, the murders carried out in its name simply aberrations. Never mind that there is not a single example of a country where communism was tried and it did not result in terror, purges, massacres, starvation and totalitarian misery. Yet take any of the opinion pieces above and replace the word “Communist” with “Nazi,” and then try to imagine that anyone would publish them, other than perhaps the Daily Stormer.
(Socialists ALWAYS INSIST that Communism suffers at the hands of outsiders and betrayers! The Revolution is attacked on all sides- so they whine and it must take tough measure to protect itself! Socialists have a persecution complex of very serious and disturbing nature! When NDP knucklehead Bob Rae got elected premier of Ontri-owe- he attempted to “spend” Us rich! Rae tried to borrow enough money so we would all be happy, healthy and prosperous. Socialists seem not understand about things like “interest” that is compounded and amortized! The socialist can tell you in a second what money is owed to the socialist but cannot say with any accuracy what money might be owed by that socialist to others- the double standard is staggering! But since socialists think that bankers- and others who do not toe the socialist line- are illegitimate spawn of Satan, they seem to think bankers can be persuaded to buy back their souls by giving socialist govt a break on the bills!)
Sadly, this twisted view of communism is being passed on to the next generation. A recent poll by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation found that just 36% of American millennials have a “very unfavorable” view of communism — the only American generation where this number is less than a majority. Worse still, 32% believe that more people were killed under George W. Bush than under Joseph Stalin. The ignorance is stunning. The first post-Cold War generation has been raised almost completely unaware of the evils of communism.
(Other articles on this site have documented the utter failure of various ethnic groups to learn ANYTHING useful during their time in school systems dominated by socialist union radicals! The profound ignorance of so many provides rich fertilizer for poisoned ideas to take root!)
Czech writer Milan Kundera once described the struggle against communism as “the struggle of memory against forgetting.” Communist regimes did more than kill their victims; they sought to erase their memory and humanity. Shamefully, communism’s crimes against memory and humanity are still being whitewashed by The New York Times.

Of course if there are those in the U.S. & Canada that want "socialism" they'll soon discover it's not all it's cut out to be. If one wants the government to make all your decisions, then certainly, move to Cuba or N. Korea, Iran or Russia - cuz apparently their socialism works really well - NOT!! I wonder why there are those who think socialism is a utopia when, over the decades it's proven to be the opposite. Unfortunately, man has a reputation for being greedy; socialism simply brings out the sociopaths who like to control every aspect of other peoples lives, determine who does what and where etc. They are power hungry (aka Democrats & Liberals have already proven this big time) and have only their own interests at heart.
Socialism is evil in and of itself and is just a small step away from Communism. One offers very few choices while the other no choice at all. That is not a world that I personally would want to live in.
Capitalism may not be perfect but it's the best we have at present and has lifted millions of lives out of poverty. We can make our own choices, determine what and how we live our lives. We all have "free will" and we need to take responsibility over our decisions. Some people don't make the right decision and that's on them. Do you really think that "government" can make better choices for us? Seriously? That is the bottom line.

Oh enough Mr. HarperCons, that is such a simplistic way of putting things! If things are so wonderful in Cuba, why are there many who want to flee? Why don't the millions of Cubans who fled to the US, Canada or wherever go back to Cuba? And if these communist countries you speak of are so wonderful, why aren't you living in them?
