Here is a sample of life on the shores of Hudson Bay:
Canada's north is void of being as exploited as the rest of the lower parts. With all the bitching about immigrants coming in you would think we were as full as India. Maybe being ruled by racist Whites who want it all for ourselves is a problem rather than a solution, not only in Canada but the material riches in the countries the refugees are coming from is considered to belong to us rather than to them.

With a shoreline of more than 2,000 miles and almost zero people we still can't find any room for Muslims. Fishing and prospecting would take them off welfare but then all this Muslim votes would mess up the rule that the old EU had had since they invaded North America with refugees they created. The pattern that is emerging does not have a rose smell to it?

If Ontario is letting their northern communities become the equal a malaria filled swamp I can only imagine the horrors the ones further north are going through. Move the ATCO housing to high ground or use some out-dated drill-stem to elevate the homes and use the space under neath as a bear proof garage.
They are linked so send them material that is useful rather than keeping that as buried as possible and if they find it and complain enough the problem will be fixed or a disease will claim the whole community and it is bulldozed under. This is the Canada that was created under you watch so at least take the credit for what the studies teach the elite about that 'population control tool'. Down here allowing mold to flourish will get you a 'dross criminal conduct charge' if that is the ones that mentions 'vapors escaping and causing death or harm'. Apparently when you work for the Jewish Bankers you get immunity from prosecution as the results are part of their quest to find immortality and you are nor invited.

I can even supply a copy of one of the studies done at Baffin Islands and when I asked what other studies have shown that putting minimal security prisoner in the gym resulted in fight where blood was spilled over a game of cards was caused by overcrowding and only overcrowding, the black mold and leaky sewers over the years had nothing to do with it. I should post it just to see the collective lie their faces off.

These are medical experiment and who the fuk do you thinks runs 'big pharma' as being the same that were giving Blacks in America syphilis and other thing is medical experiments on human guinea pigs. You should know who you serve. Jews were front and center in the settlements of South Africa and Australia so give up the lie that the collective doesn't use diseases to wipe out groups of people they have no use for, lesser races if you will.

https://www.tbfacts.org/history-tb-south-africa/
When does the history of TB in South Africa start?

There is evidence from South African literature that TB was occurring in South Africa at the time of the arrival of Dutch settlers at the Cape in 1652. There are differing views though as to whether the disease was occurring in the native population prior to this. Many people have held the view that most natives had not been routinely exposed to the disease before and therefore offered little biological resistance to it. This is the theory that the native black people were a so called “virgin soil” for TB. 1 However oral history and linguistic studies have suggested that the disease had been occurring for some time among some black peoples, such as the Zulus, although at a very low level.2
William Budd 1811 - 1880

In the early nineteenth century there were various reports that TB “did not exist among the tribes of South Africa”. However in 1867 Dr William Budd wrote that coastal “negroes are particularly liable to phthisis” (an alternative name for TB), but “in the interior, where contact with Europeans is slight, there is reason to believe that phthisis does not exist”.3
By around 1860 there had been outbreaks of TB in places like Butterworth and Queenstown, and wherever military, trading or missionary outposts existed. It was in such places that the African population came into close contact with white settlers and began to contract their diseases. These outbreaks were however isolated and the disease did not spread.4
TB in South Africa in the late 19th century

In the late nineteenth century the level of TB was so high in Europe, that many people with TB moved away from the cities towards rural sanatoria or to what were perceived as the favourable climates of distant colonies such as South Africa. The benefits of the South African climate for those with “consumptive” complaints was publicised extensively in books and articles during this period. The following comes from a local newspaper during the 1890s.5
“The Cape which cures consumption; the Cape which is of Good Hope to all weak chests; the Cape which offers life and health and a career to the Englishman suddenly confronted by that modern absolutes, the doctor, with the cold sentence of death or exile! ”
The towns where “consumptive” immigrants collected included Beaufort West, Cradock and Burgersdorp in the Karoo, with Cape Town being the main port of entry.6 The threat such imported cases of TB represented for the native-born populations of the colony, both black and white, was not appreciated prior to 1895, and indeed the infectious nature of TB had only been discovered in 1884.

The arrival of the eastern Europeans

Alongside the Europeans who came to South Africa to improve their health were thousands of impoverished eastern Europeans. Most came from countries with a high prevalence of TB, and most had been infected with TB at some point in their lives. The prospects of most of these eastern European refugees were poor. Prevented from making a reasonable living, and unable to properly care for and feed themselves or their families, these settlers often suffered reactivation of their disease and became open sources of infection within the community.

The effect of TB on mortality rates in the “consumptive” resorts of South Africa

The absence of legislation requiring the registration of deaths in the Cape Colony, or indeed elsewhere in South Africa before 1895 made it impossible to assess the impact that TB was having on mortality rates. Unaware of the potential consequences of the immigration of people with TB, town officials in the Cape Colony initially made no effort to limit the spread of infection among the town’s non infected inhabitants.7
However in 1895 it was said by Dr Gregory, the Medical Officer of Health for Cape Colony that “of all the diseases attacking the natives and Coloured” (of Cape Colony) “tuberculosis is by far the most important”.8 The situation was similar in other “consumptive resorts” of the colony and in 1896 the death rate from TB among Africans and coloreds in Beaufort West was 8.7 per 1,000.9
With compulsory notification of TB occurring towards the end of the century, the district surgeon for Aliwal North was able to estimate that the mortality rate in 1897 for whites in Aliwal North was 19.9 per 1,000 and among the native born white population of the town it was 13.6 per 1,000. For the African population there was an annual incidence of 62 per 1,000 which is so extraordinarily high that it is possible that it was an over diagnosis of cases.

https://www.culturalsurvival.org/publications/cultural-survival-quarterly/australian-aborigine
Location, Land, and Climate
Australia, the aboriginal homeland, is earth's direst and flattest continent. Only the eastern seaboard and the northern tropical forests get consistent rainfall. Hundreds of linguistically and culturally distinct aboriginal tribes have lived in harmony with this harsh environment for over 30,000 years.
After European settlers arrived in 1788, thousand of aborigines died from diseases; colonists systematically killed many others. At first contact, there were over 250,000 aborigines in Australia. The massacres ended in the 1920 leaving no more than 60,000. Since then, the population has grown, and by the next century as many as 30,000 people may legitimately claim aboriginal descent.
Livelihood
Aborigines were traditionally nomads. Men hunted larger animals; women hunted smaller ones and dug with sticks to unearth eggs, roots, and grubs. Women provided up to 80 percent of the staples and processed all the food.
Today, urban and many rural aborigines rely on stores. The government encourages this. For examples" to aboriginal communities to extol the virtues of balanced European diet. But aboriginal women often can't afford the ingredients.
Aboriginal poverty stems partly from low wages and lack of jobs. Unemployment is six times the national average, and aboriginal income is less than half the average. Nonetheless, some have found a niche in the Australian economy. Many aboriginal men work aqs "stockmen" (cowboys). Aboriginal work mostly in health care, clerical work, store-keeping, and teaching.
Traditional dwelling range from the desert wiltia - round huts made with boughs - to rock and cave shelters. In the twentieth century, the government has replaced many of these practical, temporary shelters with European-style homes. Aborigines often protest by ignoring the houses and constructing "humpies" - lean-to's with tin roofs

The village mentioned is on the shore. If this is how the locals are treated the immigrants will dropped off ob the ice with instruction on how to tread water. The part where you are also experimented on seems to escape that 'mind' you claim is so sharp. Shareholders profits in the war industries are worth the lives of many millions of innocents and then you blame them for being the cause of it all. That is about as fuked as it gets.

I notice God put the NG offshore of Gaza and Lebanon. To get any Israel has to mess with the lines and say Gaza owns nothing or cosy up to Greece and drill in Cyprus lands.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for Lebanon as their leader is a Saudi National and he won the election some months back and has lots of time to visit the KSA and France but not form a Government for Lebanon. Anybody but a Hezbollah member. With Syria now entering the market with their goodies and the Golan Heights being found just recently the offshore might not be developed unless NG is in high demand and other fields that are easier to exploit have been

Leaving the research to others is how the collective got so stupid in the first place. Your post show you are at a 'place; where you feel you have to say something in order to get the last word in but the words should be in a format that show your are wise rather than very, very stupid. A sliver of truth out of you every now and then would not kill you even if you get hard looks from the rest of the collective. They will be coming along behind even if they will be screaming bloody murder rather than the small whine emanating from your post.

You would be gaining more friends and your old ones were not the best of friends as they care more about themselves than they do you. Do the math yourself for once in your life.

Before I can give an answer I need to know where to direct my answer you started with moving people to the NWT, then swerved toward blaming Gov. incompetence for Native's building on a swamp and an over crowded locally neglected correction center. Then taking a hard Left to rant about the M.E. now blaming me for being stupid and not giving an intelligent answer to your incoherent babbling on an Internet forum. OK gotcha

Discuss what, the fact that you're rambling and stupid? First of all, you'll find precious few Canadians who have a problem with immigration in general. What they have a problem with is Trudeau's reckless approach to it. Maybe go learn about economics in a welfare state before you start your winy bullshit.
Secondly, it's f*cking hilarious listening to you go on about immigrants like we should have open borders while you piss and moan about the existence of Israel. Third, Canada is not the US. We don't act like the material riches of other countries belong to us. Canada doesn't engage in hegemony.
Fourth: As for your precious muslim garbage, as immigrants the govt has no right to tell them where they can live in Canada. If you have a problem with them not living in the far north, go bitch at them, it's their choice not to. And who gives a flying f*ck about Mid-east muslims anyway. It's kind'a telling how you don't mention any refugee or other immigrant groups, just muslims. They got a a WHOLE bunch of muslim majority countries they can move to.

But here's the one telling thing about some of them. A 16 yr old Afghan girl has more balls than the rest of the Mid-east refugees combined. She was working with the Canadians in A-stan. The Taliban even captured her 10 yr old brother and tortured him in an attempt to get him to rat out his sister. That brave kid didn't break. When it was time for the Canadians to leave, they invited the girl to come back with them where she'd be safe from the Taliban. Her response? "No thanks. I can't help change my country from within if I'm not in it."

Whenever I think about her and what she said I invariably remember all those "brave" bitch boys from Africa and the Mid-east streaming into Europe.

If you like we can start there. Can that include my fading hopes that you are a member of the collective that stay collected in the presence of a somebody that is at a lesser station in life, (so I should be listening and not talking). Your thread, let's how it goes, honest above punctuation in my world as well as facts before fiction. If I am stupid that can be fixed by doing some reading, if you are the stupid one it cannot be fixed as the collective taught you everything you believe in.

I don't have a list of forbidden subjects, you and the rest of the collective do apparently so lets see what the opening page is all about, the term 'Songbird' is up for grabs.

First of all, you'll find precious few Canadians who have a problem with immigration in general. What they have a problem with is Trudeau's reckless approach to it.
You mean by taking in penniless refugees instead of members of some Royals of Europe or from somebody in the fortune 500. How many have even applied let alone been turned away. I'm pretty sure the heads at NATO are the ones deciding who goes where rather than JT is there like be was bidding at an auction and the White Helmets would be like the prize of the night. The resettlement we see from there started as soon as Russia entered the war on the side of Syria. From then on getting their proxy army spirited away became the hidden hand part of the sudden concern for a few million people that would be facing treason charges if they stayed. The EU hates Muslims as much as you do. There are a few that come from the actual refugee camps they ran to as soon as the war started

Maybe go learn about economics in a welfare state before you start your winy bullshit.
Would a country such as Canad being run like a large Company Town be a good example for how we operate as a Nation. The hole is getting deeper everyday.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_public_debt
In 2014, this number stood at CAD$1.4 trillion across federal and provincial governments. With the total GDP somewhere around CAD$1.8 trillion, Canada's overall debt/GDP ratio is around 77%. "Gross debt" is the national debt plus intragovernmental debt obligations or debt held by trust funds. Types of securities sold by the government include treasury bills, notes, bonds, Real Return Bonds, Canada Savings Bonds, and provincial government securities. The annual government "deficit" is the difference between government receipts and spending.

Even better just so you know we are not the only ship that is sinking, welcome to the world where Admiralty Law is the rule of the land.
https://www.economist.com/content/global_debt_clock

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Admiralty_law
Admiralty law or maritime law is a body of law that governs nautical issues and private maritime disputes. Admiralty law consists of both domestic law on maritime activities, and private international law governing the relationships between private parties operating or using ocean-going ships. While each legal jurisdiction usually has its own legislation governing maritime matters, the international nature of the topic and the need for uniformity has, since 1900, led to considerable international maritime law developments, including numerous multilateral treaties.[1]
Matters dealt by admiralty law include marine commerce, marine navigation, salvage, maritime pollution, seafarers’ rights, and the carriage by sea of both passengers and goods. Admiralty law also covers land-based commercial activities that are maritime in character, such as marine insurance. Some lawyers prefer to reserve the term “admiralty law” for “wet law” (e.g. salvage, collisions, ship arrest, towage, liens, & limitation), and use “maritime law” only for “dry law” (e.g. carriage of goods & people, marine insurance, and the MLC).[2]
Admiralty law may be distinguished from the Law of the Sea, which is a body of public international law dealing with navigational rights, mineral rights, jurisdiction over coastal waters, and the maritime relationships between nations. The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea has been adopted by 167 countries[3] and the European Union, and disputes are resolved at the ITLOS tribunal in Hamburg.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Company_town
A company town is a place where practically all stores and housing are owned by the one company that is also the main employer. Company towns are often planned with a suite of amenities such as stores, churches, schools, markets and recreation facilities. They are usually bigger than a model village ("model" in the sense of an ideal to be emulated).
The best examples of company towns have had high ideals; but many have been regarded as controlling or exploitative. Others developed more or less in unplanned fashion, such as Summit Hill, Pennsylvania, United States, one of the oldest, which began as a LC&N Co. mining camp and mine site nine miles (14.5 km) from the nearest outside road

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Company_Town_(film) (same page) Occupation 101 is as graphic and up to date as it gets for coverage of that topic.

No, that is not the way things should be run. The Blacks in South Africa should have been educated so they could take over rather than being kept so uneducated they could not no matter how much bigger they were in numbers. I would make sure 15% of the population owned no more than 15% of anything in the country, farming and industry, Due to the slackness done in the past the transition may take 50 years as basic services have even been held back in all of Africa rather than just the South. World Banl Clients rather than religious connection to today's extremist Israel.

Secondly, it's f*cking hilarious listening to you go on about immigrants like we should have open borders while you piss and moan about the existence of Israel.
Immigrants are people who want to move from one peaceful country to another peaceful nation. Refugees are running for their lives and a flood will end and they can return and start over. A war operates on a different set of parameters. When you have to hide your proxy army because they lost the war against Syria you will kill a lot of innocent people to do that as they would make bad witnesses foe war crimes investigations.

Third, Canada is not the US. We don't act like the material riches of other countries belong to us. Canada doesn't engage in hegemony.
We are part of NATO, we follow orders and we are too small to issue any. We contribute little to the war effort, we will reap even less, NATO would have gained about $50T and all for the World Banks once the natives were killed off, . . . like always

What countries areen't under US sanctions or already as controlled as Lebanon is where the leader runs to the KSA rather than help the people who voted him in. Those people. The KSA is run the way the World Bank wants all the Arab nations in the area run, the people have expressed a desire that not take place. Welcome to how your side negotiates.

You sure you want to us that example because here is how the Taliban got their start?
https://www.counterpunch.org/1998/01/15/how-jimmy-carter-and-i-started-the-mujahideen/
How Jimmy Carter and I Started the Mujahideen

by Jeffrey St. Clair - Alexander Cockburn Facebook Twitter Google+ Reddit Email

Q: The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his memoirs [“From the Shadows”], that American intelligence services began to aid the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet intervention. In this period you were the national security adviser to President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that correct?
Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise: Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention.
Q: Despite this risk, you were an advocate of this covert action. But perhaps you yourself desired this Soviet entry into war and looked to provoke it?
Brzezinski: It isn’t quite that. We didn’t push the Russians to intervene, but we knowingly increased the probability that they would.
Q: When the Soviets justified their intervention by asserting that they intended to fight against a secret involvement of the United States in Afghanistan, people didn’t believe them. However, there was a basis of truth. You don’t regret anything today?
Brzezinski: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.
Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic [integrisme], having given arms and advice to future terrorists?
Brzezinski: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?
Q: Some stirred-up Moslems? But it has been said and repeated: Islamic fundamentalism represents a world menace today.
Brzezinski: Nonsense! It is said that the West had a global policy in regard to Islam. That is stupid. There isn’t a global Islam. Look at Islam in a rational manner and without demagoguery or emotion. It is the leading religion of the world with 1.5 billion followers. But what is there in common among Saudi Arabian fundamentalism, moderate Morocco, Pakistan militarism, Egyptian pro-Western or Central Asian secularism? Nothing more than what unites the Christian countries.

Whenever I think about her and what she said I invariably remember all those "brave" bitch boys from Africa and the Mid-east streaming into Europe.
It has been the Jewish World Bank involved in Africa for the last century, if it is a hell hole that is the way they want it. Maybe this is a knife in the back to some EU nations that have been getting uppity. Just kidding, England in 1815 were the last one who tried that.

WANTED: Bids to make it suitable for humans in the far north. Pretend you are Trump on you way to the airport and you pass a housing complex that is in ruins and the cameras are rolling.
Begin, . . .
The power lines need to go into above ground culverts laid in existing ditches and insulated with 'peat'. The road needs to have a reverse crown so the center is the water-way as well as moving you to the center of the road when you skid on ice in the winter. Doubling up mean a failure in one side only needs a few extension cords to put in a temp fix. Roads are maintained by the same ones hauling the ice using an ATV and a 'drag' used for skidoo trails. All converted from gas to electric. If there is a current close by that can be tapped to produce power that runs the whole village or the wind tapped using the existing poles once the lined are 'buried'.

Sewage can be collected from septic tanks as a liquid and put into a tank that collects the gasses it will produce, all food wastes should be dumped in also and when no more bubbles it can be loaded up and taken to a slope that faces south and is a 'hollow' and the solids turn into top-soil so it can grow food in the short growing season or throw up some protection an harvest lettuce in January.

The houses look like 2x4 modular with the cheapest insulation available. Since they are all the same the remodeling would be 'simple', the same foam used on the London Tower could be used and metal roofing material used to wrap the whole building. Wood rots in a decade, metal is as good as new 100 years later. That is a lot of foam, I would suggest the guys across the Bay with the dead asbestos mine get their asses off their crying chair and design a panel that is an insulation panel as well as being strong and weather and bear-proof. A composite thin skin on both sides would be what the above ground buildings need while under a cement slab that is used to sop the ground from melting could be 'industrial' rather than 'pretty'. Depending on how good it is it would have endless uses if roads (eliminates ruts) and utility lines were included. Hemp could replace all that and it is people friendly.

What are you trying to say? FN are incapable of managing and maintain their own infrastructure? You do realise maintenance budgets are paid to these communities don't you? Do you expect the Gov. to send in maintenance crews on top of the requested maintenance budget because the money is being misspent?

Maybe to make it fair the rest of the Canadian citizens should demand better housing and someone else take care of it, that sure would save me money.

Not at all, being lied to about what is wrong makes sure they don't get the issues solved. They called in lots of 'experts', all of them lied to them. The contractors that built the town has the streets going with the river rather that at right angles so the ditches drain as fast as possible. Nazi Medical Scientists would be proud of the lies Canadian Doctors can tell when in front of the cameras. Must have been a nice bonus to go along with the deception.

You do realise maintenance budgets are paid to these communities don't you?
It appears greed takes it before it gets there. If the Government cannot figure out how to provide warm dry housing to them they need to resign and find a job where they are running a hand broom, or in court while being sues for a few billion dollars for torturing humans without their consent.
You might as well say the people in Gaza spent their money in the wrong places and that is why their life is in shambles. The sad part is both parties abuse them the very same way.

Do you expect the Gov. to send in maintenance crews on top of the requested maintenance budget because the money is being misspent?
Show me where the money was spent, sure as fuk wasn't in landscaping unless making the drainage as bad as possible was the goal. Why install a water system nobody can run. Water purification tablets at home have to be used anyway so it was a useless investment.

Maybe to make it fair the rest of the Canadian citizens should demand better housing and someone else take care of it, that sure would save me money.
Here is where you prove what a bigoted fuktard you really are. No wonder the local collective is such a despised group of lowlifes if I ever saw one. You don't know shit either, you say whatever sounds the best for your opinion.
Be sure to make the reply as long as possible to why the Indians are the UN-trainable savages and are determined to stay that way no matter the best efforts of Indian Affairs. You have to be a special kind fuktard to blame the victims for their own ills.

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/pol...ion-sues-toronto-architect-and-associates-to/
An impoverished First Nation is going to court to recoup millions of dollars it obtained through loans secured with the help of a Toronto architect who now stands accused of diverting the money to her own companies and alleged co-conspirators.
Kashechewan, a fly-in community on the western shore of James Bay that is constantly being evacuated due to flooding, says Ellis Galea Kirkland – who took her own life this Jan. 1 – and a number of her associates obtained, or tried to obtain, loans of as much as $11,083,709.72 to rebuild decayed infrastructure and to build a new community centre.
Even though most of the money was placed under Ms. Kirkland’s control in 2014, and millions were disbursed, a statement of claim filed by the First Nation in the Ontario Superior Court says “none of the defendants provided any goods or services, or any material value, to Kashechewan.”

Leo Friday, the current chief, said the community "was deeply impacted by the events surrounding Ellis Kirkland’s involvement, both financially and in terms of a loss of trust. Our council felt that we had a duty to our community members to seek answers and, if the court finds wrongdoing, make those responsible for what happened accountable."

Those are the people that is supposed to save them, it only shows we are corrupt to the very core, you might be proud of it, me, not so much. If anybody deserved to implode it is the collective and their immoral masters.

So again no personal accountability, why would the band agree to have a village built on a known flood plain? Remember they chose their reserve lands and where to build their homes. The treaty doesn't have supplied housing in it, Canada was shamed into building housing for Natives.

Treaty 1

Articles and Memorandum of Treaty 1[edit]
The final articles of Treaty 1 were outlined as follows: the indigenous peoples were to hand over a large portion of land in the southeast and south-central current day Manitoba to Governor Archibald and the Crown.[3] These lands were to include areas around Lake Manitoba and Winnipeg as well as around the Red River Valley.
In return, the Canadian government were to provide each band with a reserve large enough to accommodate each family of five with 160 acres of land (or a larger or smaller amount based on the size of the family).[3] In addition, each member of these bands were to be given a gratuity of three dollars in accordance with a yearly sum of fifteen dollars based on a family of five.[3] This annual payment could be provided in cash or items such as clothing, blankets, or hunting supplies based upon the desires of the family.[3] The government also could provide and maintain a school on each reserve if one was desired.[3] And the Crown would prohibit the introduction and sale of alcohol on reserves.[3]
The Outside Promises[edit]
Within a year of the signing of Treaty 1, word reached Governor Archibald that the Swampy Cree and Anishinabe peoples were declaring that some of the treaty terms were not being fulfilled. Known as the “Outside Promises”, numerous items the indigenous peoples were promised beyond the written text of the treaty had not been provided to them yet.[4] These items included distinguished clothing for Chiefs and their councillors, farming supplies such as ploughs, and animals like oxen and cows for their agricultural needs.[3]
While a new commissioner was appointed to deal with the needs of the indigenous peoples in the area and the issue was brought to court, the federal government did not resolve the “Outside Promises” until April 30, 1875, seven years later.[3] It was then the council passed an order that stated that the memorandum of items orally promised to the bands were to be considered a part of Treaty 1 and therefore had to be carried out by the commissioner.[3] Additionally, the annuity of three dollars to each band member was to be raised to five dollars a year.[3] Finally, the order stated that each Chief was to be provided with additional payments of twenty dollars annually as well as be given extra items of clothing in addition to those stated in the memorandum.[3]
Significance of Treaty 1[edit]
The signing of Treaty 1 marked the beginning of a long list of treaties that were to come over the next couple of decades, signifying the Canadian government’s growing interest in the West as more than just a trading hub but as a suitable place for developing agriculture and growing populations of settlers; as well as a peaceful means to annex land. For Governor Adams Archibald the treaty would enable him to develop businesses such as mills and farms on the fertile land around Lakes Winnipeg and Manitoba and in the Red River Valley.[4]
For the Anishinabe and Swampy Cree Nations Treaty 1 held a much larger significance. They believed it was a way for them to survive and adjust into a new way of living with the drastic changes that were coming to their land and that were already beginning to take shape.[8] Their leaders believed a treaty with the Crown would help give them security when the large groups of settlers would make there way into the land. In addition, the indigenous peoples believed that the treaty would also help elevate the threat of the serious decline of buffalo populations, which threatened their way of life.[8] Ultimately, in signing the treaty the indigenous leaders hoped to gain a connection with the “Great White Queen Mother” that would ensure security and benefits for their people.[8]

Again I reiterate that there must be personal accountability FN agreed to join Canada not Canada to Join the FSIN

You spelled 'forced to' wrong but let's go with that. By joining Canada the regulations and codes we have that apply to a subdivision in Ottawa also applied to every one all the to Baffin Island with one difference, Northern Ontario is southern Tundra country and the building coded need to take that into consideration. The other thread will be longer and have lots of pics to show that the design of the town and the 'landscaping' is where the spring floods come from. The hype is the 'danger of flooding from upstream ice jams. It is the places behind the jam that get flooded. Beside the pic will show they have lots of height so they are not flooded. Melting snow and no runoff is the flood and that water will cause a fungus blood and that is why people are evacuated. Sores and such with no flood would need a cover story. An experienced operator with a D3 could eliminate all the standing water in one short summer and that would be the end of a spring that that takes 3 months longer than it should. Canada is the guilty party a s many inspections took place and those defects were never mentioned by any of the many inspectors.

This thread was about the asbestos business in Quebec that is stuck with shipping it raw to India where no regulations exist yet can manufacture exterior walls for a modular home like they have in that town. A woof house on Ottawa will last 60 years , up there wood rots in 6 years. Asbestos in a sandwich of thin aluminum might be what homes in the north need to last 60 years. 40 homes are boarded up and some might be saved and then foam added to the outside and metal siding might be all that is needed as mold can be removed and the area treated so it cannot come back even if it does get wet again. As the houses aged the top is removed and the same design put back up on the cement foundation by the local using low cost power tools. Growing might be better off by adding another floor that needing room for a new street and foundation. An ice road in the winter could bring in all the supplies they need for the summer if they have some dry storage and instructions on how to keep it that way. Long distance learning is already a fact so it would take 5 minutes and a net connection to get it started, if anyplace should have homeschooling it is a village, all they need is their own network and all the students are in class without leaving their home in the middle of a long winter.

Your post seem to be about something else entirely. If they all died would you want the money they used to get?

I have my doubts on that or the Govt wouldn't be kicking their own asses when treasures are found under a Rez. I also have better things to do that show you how flawed that is and the locations were chosen to be a punishment rather than a reward.

I thought this thread was about forcing immigrants into the barren North due to all our land and most settlement in urban centers you never once mentioned asbestos until this post. Also I think you should stop confusing US FN treaty settlements with Cdn. treaty settlements tribes were allowed to choose their ground and granted at 160 acres per family unit. Natives chose where they would live and build, Gov. gave support to survive.
